Tired of the rat race! Then chill out at High Country Haven. A peaceful 600-acre cattle property nestled in the picturesque Burnett ranges. The stunning views, sunrises, sunsets and night sky will amaze you. You can bush walk, bird watch, mountain bike ride, take wildlife photos, enjoy the farm or just sit around a campfire. Attractions within 20 minutes’ drive include: the historic mining town of Mt Perry (museum, pub, shop and old picture house converted to a restaurant), the Mt Perry Summit Walk (highest peak between Brisbane and Rockhampton), the Boolboonda Tunnel (longest unsupported rock tunnel in the Southern Hemisphere), the Bania National Park (swimming holes), the National Trail, the Wolca Reserve Mountain Bike Riding Track, the Mt Perry Copper Mine and local fossicking/panning. Campfires are permitted except when fire bans are in force. Firewood is available.
