The tiny house is in it's own fenced paddock. The fencing is for cattle and is not a dog fence if you are hoping to have your dog off leash. If you are travelling with your horse we have a paddock with water that is suitable. Send us a PM if this is something you are interested in. If you have a larger party, we can accommodate a caravan or other tents. Tidy pets are welcome with their own BYO bed and should be on-leash around the property. Our farm is home to John and Jules, our kids, cattle, sheep, chickens, two gorgeous tiny homes and our dogs Pip and Evie. In 2023, we located Claudine (the tiny home) on our property and were overwhelmed with the success and lovely comments from guests. In 2024, we completed the building of Henry and opened up the cabin to guests in March. We absolutely love living here and want to enable others to enjoy the spectacular views, reconnect with nature, and switch off from busy lives. Your hosts are John and Julia Tidy. We moved from New Zealand to The Avocado Tree Farm, a property of 80 acres, in 2003. Weekend Trip to Shanlyn Farm • Breathe & Reconnect

We loved staying at Shanlyn farm for a quiet and peaceful off grid hideaway. This was our second stay but the first at “Little Soho” which was a well appointed and comfortable vintage caravan with a deck, a view and an adjoining ensuite off the deck. The birdsong and general ambience was so calming and Lynne’s hospitality and generosity was wonderful! Including her homemade apple pie, fresh farm eggs and chutney, and the ever present sensitive touches that she sprinkles around the property. We got to pet and feed the donkeys, horses and cows and learn about her eco imprint in this world. Highly recommend you stay here, be it in a dome or caravan. Recommend you book a reiki treatment or meditate at the dromedan , or do yoga at sunrise on the Sataya deck or just walk and enjoy the property. Everything is authentically and sustainably operating for the greater good of the environment and the animals and gardens under Lynne’s gentle care. You won’t be disappointed and we will be back!!

Highly recommend booking. We just needed to get away for the night ! The fitout and bed is so wonderful and comfortable! Best shower as well ! Star gazing and early night was the best part ! Bonus to be left some bacon, homemade honey bread and butter such a surprise treat !! The drive so beautiful and so glad we booked this place !!!
