Our 1000 acres mountain top working cattle and horses farm is only 45 minutes from Brisbane CBD, and offers spectacular Glasshouse mountains and ocean views. You can bring your own self-contained camping set-up, be it a tent, caravan, or motorhome, or stay in our bunkhouse that sleeps 10. Activities on the property include hiking, swimming, canoeing, horse riding and more. From many parts of the farm you have beautiful views encompassing Maleny, Glasshouse Mountains, Bribie Island, Moreton Island, Stradbroke Island, Redcliffe, and Brisbane Port Site. We have a beautiful deepwater lake that's perfect for swimming and canoeing. The property is traversed by several rainforested creeks and ravines, which are perfect for adventure hiking and rock climbing. We can also take you horse riding around the farm for a couple of hours or to the local winery if you prefer a longer ride. We cater for all levels of riding. We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to anyone with the swag, tent, camper, caravan, or motorhome. You must be self-sufficient, with your own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste when you go. For those who prefer the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV. Linen is not supplied. If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View Rd - do not go that way - go through Dayboro Rd. For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. This can take between 1-2 hours to get to the top Mount Elliot and flinders peak are in national Park area. Which is a 5 k drive from our farm Parking area in the national park ,there are walking trails from the carpark area. Good for bird watchers and those who like to get outdoors and do some hiking or moutain climbing . How to get to us? We have two ways in . Option 1: Via Flagstone onto Bushman Drive – then into Wyatt road follow to the end and turn right onto undullah road follow for 5 ks . we approximately 14 km from the Flagstone Shopping Centre. Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended. Option 2: From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road. This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. Approximately 2 hours from Brisbane CBD. Either stay in our popular cabin for those creature comforts, or camp next to our creek bed areas and enjoy the serenity. Weekend Trip to Nature's Edge Cottage & Campsites.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at dragonfly cottage. It has everything you could possibly need and the kitchen is very well appointed. The bathroom and outdoor toilet is very luxurious and we felt like it was a hotel standard of bathroom. It was a very hot weekend but luckily there was a fan in the cottage that ran off 12 V power so we managed to stay cool at night. Perfect for a couple, I think it might be a stretch with more than two adults. Glen was very communicative and helpful. We would definitely consider coming back.

The cottage was lovely and a perfect break from technology. The river was walking distance for a swim which was nice. There was a couple of things such as the outdoor lighting (didnt work) and the pond (very smelly if the wind was blowing the wrong way) needed some TLC. But overall a good stay.

We really enjoyed our stay, a first time experience for us staying off grid. Glen and Dominique have really put thought into Dragonfly Cottage. We loved the bathroom, kitchen and outdoor area ( the car stereo with playlist was a nice touch ) The perfect place to escape and be with nature and we had plenty to keep us entertained during out stay. Would definitely recommend

Awesome 2 night stay with the kids while visiting Aussie World and Australia Zoo. It was like a home away from home. The kids loved the playground. Just wish it had of been Summer so we could have used the pool. Will definitely be back the next time we visit the Sunshine Coast.

We had a nice stay at Dragonfly Cottage Off-Grid Getaway. The location is peaceful, secluded, and surrounded by nature. It’s close to the Mary River for a swim or paddle, and Kenilworth is just a short drive away if you need supplies. The cabin is cozy and well-equipped with the essentials for a comfortable stay. The bathrooms were a nice surprise—more luxurious than you might expect from the rustic exterior. If you're after a quiet retreat, this is a good spot to switch off and unwind.

Our family recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at Diggers Rest in Beerwah, Queensland. Nestled amidst the stunning Glass House Mountains, the off-grid cabin offered breathtaking panoramic views. The cabin itself was comfortable and well-equipped, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploring. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the pool. Perfectly maintained and consistently refreshing, it was the ideal place to cool off during the day and enjoy the starry night sky. The hosts, Karen and Tash , were incredibly welcoming and attentive. They went above and beyond, providing extra fans and water to help us stay comfortable during a particularly hot period. We highly recommend Diggers Rest to families and couples seeking a peaceful and relaxing getaway in a beautiful natural setting.
