There are plenty of activities to try around town, from bushwalking, exploring the Rail Trail in Murwillumbah and downhill mountain biking at the Uki Mountain Bike Park (Less then 8Km from our property). The property is just 5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Our sites are completely isolated from town, with views and not visible from the road. Sites are set among nearly 100 acres of a mix of open land and rainforest. Multiple natural springs exist on the property and a few small spring-fed waterholes are scattered down the cascading hills. Friendly ducks, geese, fish, horses and an abundance of native wildlife live here. This location is home to several endangered species due to being one of the last isolated pockets of rainforest in the area. Sites are part of The Bush Clinic where we specialise in designing and making natural creams, soaps, teas, dodorants and other products as well as running regular Meditation courses and topics such as Energy, Frequency, Grounding and Advanced Organic Growth techniques for those wanting to join in are formally available during your stay. Over one kilometre of "Rocky Creek" runs through the Pecan Fields camp area, providing gorgeous waterholes for swimming, walks and great water front sites to set up camp for the weekend! You can even see Platypus in the early mornings, playing in the creek. All of the camp areas are easily access-able and flat, usually 2wd car is all you need. We also provide you with creature comforts such as a cold/ hot shower and fresh pit toilets :) When booking, only book 1 site per group, as the sites are large. You will feel like you are immersed in the beauty of nature here and yet you are only 6 minutes easy drive from the village of Dunoon, NSW 2480 and 45 minutes beautiful country drive from glorious Byron Bay beaches and it's very exciting night life! On every second sunday of the month, the Channon Markets are on, which is just 10 minutes drive from camp. Sorry, we can't cater for dogs due to camp being a native animal sanctuary. Dunoon village is cute yet, very practical. There is a general store, bottle shop and they sell ice, Mechanic, Post Office and the best bit, you can even go out for dinner or lunch depending on the day, at the Dunoon Sports Club/ Pub or Channon Tavern, then head back to your secluded country camp and cool off in the beautiful creek or warm up and enjoy some quality time around the camp fire!

Tiger's Rest is a vacant piece of land on both sides of the Pacific Highway with over 30acres of protected Koala forest. A tunnel connects both sides under highway. There is a spring fed dam to swim in. The property does get wet after big rain but there is always a dry spot to find for a good night's sleep. Jerrapark is just far enough away from towns and cities to feel remote and wild. Some guests have remarked half joking that as they enter the property it feels a bit more like Jurassic Park. A section of the farm has been preserved as rainforest…where towering palms and ghost like eucalypts stand over boulder strewn creeks that sometimes flood with roaring force. Everywhere there are wallabies, goannas and the weather sentinels…the black cockatoos. Bird lovers will find it is an excellent place to go birdwatching. Take a stroll through the verdant pecan forest where our horses graze…sit by the bubbling creek…and if you are very quiet you just might glimpse a platypus foraging. When the weather turns hot and steamy take a splash in one of the dams or wander down and sit under the waterfall that cascades most months of the year. Here is a wonderful place to meditate…a primal grotto watched over by towering gums and palms. Luxuriate in our newly added spa, including a Hot tub and a Sauna, to detox and relax! Later reconnoitre up the hill and glimpse our small part of the ancient caldera with Mt Warning (Wollumbin) in the distance. While you are there pick some ripe mangoes and take them home for a sweet treat. Back at the carriages the herb garden will assault your senses with the aroma of wild basil, thyme, lavender, lemon balm and mint…weaving a spell to enthuse you to cook up something mouth-watering in the kitchen.

Great location to explore Brisbane and Gold Coast theme parks. We tripped into Brisbane twice and it was so easy with the translink nearby. Grass is overgrown and could be mowed especially the entrance way. The turn into the driveway is a bit tight off the road as you come in but we managed it with our 22ft van. A great quiet spot with lots of space and reasonably priced for larger families in the area. I’d

We stayed for 2x nights in a tent. Beautiful spot, short drive to Potsville for swimming. The view over the farm is fantastic, and extra special having the horses free roaming amoung the tents, they were so friendly and easy to pat. Daughters loved it. Pretty open and grassy so bring a canape if you want some shade.

One of the most beautiful locations we visited on our trip. The views are amazing. You choose where you want to camp - we set up on campsite No. 2 and were the only ones around. Picked up some firewood at the entrance and roasted some marshmallows as the sun set. The compost toilet at this site was a little rough around the edges but there are flushing toilets at the central area.

Where to go

Gold Coast

North of Coolangatta, the Gold Coast is Queensland’s quintessential beach destination. Head to the beaches of Miami or Broadbeach to swim and surf, browse the famous Village Markets in Burleigh, or party until the early hours in Surfers Paradise. Campers have plenty of options along the coast, and adrenaline junkies can head to some of Australia’s most famous theme parks.

Gold Coast Hinterlands

Northwest of Coolangatta, the Gold Coast Hinterlands provide plenty of scope for outdoor adventures. Take a road trip through the Currumbin Valley, stopping to visit the eco-village and cool off with a swim in the Currumbin Rock Pools. Further north, hike along rainforest trails in Springbrook National Park, spot glow worms at the Natural Bridge, and enjoy bush camping in the Numinbah Valley.

NSW North Coast

New South Wales’ most scenic road trip follows the Legendary Pacific Coast route. Set out from Coolangatta and drive south to Tweed Heads and Byron Bay, where you can browse the art and crafts markets, take a surf lesson, or hike along the headlands. Inland, campers can escape the crowds in the Mount Jerusalem and Nightcap national parks.

When to go

The sun rarely stops shining along the Gold Coast, and beach days are possible even in winter (June through August). Summer (December through January) is peak season, when advance bookings are essential, but spring is an equally lively time to visit, with a number of markets, festivals, and outdoor events. Whale watching season along the coast runs from June through October.

Know before you go

The Gold Coast has an excellent public transport service, but having your own transport is useful for exploring the hinterlands and national parks.

Coolangatta has a selection of shops where you can pick up camping gear and stock up on supplies before heading out into the hinterlands.
Fire bans are common in Queensland during summer and dry periods, so be sure to check local recommendations before lighting your campfire and always use designated fire pits.
Camping permits are required to camp in Queensland’s national parks and must be reserved in advance.
