Karen was friendly and ready to show the way. Space was lovely and quiet. You do need to bring everything as stated in the listing. The surrounding towns like Hill End and Sofala are lovely and quaint. Good for cycling.

We spent 3 days here and it was lovely! The amenities including a shower were very clean and tidy, with plenty of hot water (just need to move the cute little frogs along before use). Hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Make sure you ask them for a tasting at the distillery while you’re there. There’s a free camp down the road, but this farm is ideal if you want a little more privacy and security.

Fantastic quiet night. Great instructions. Perfect fireplace, and benefit of having 240v and a roof when a wild storm came through was appreciated.
There is a pump or genset on across st the farms all night. Apart from that, no noise!
Occasional horsey whinny and a few night birds. We spotlighted microbats. Saw lots of wombat evidence but no Wally. Nice chilly, start to the say, with a hill to the West.
Drove further up the valley to walk over Reuben’s trail to Baerami: no go, it means we’d have to access via private property and neighbours at Baramul suggested kindly ‘it might not be wise’..
Thanks Clare we loved the schoolhouse. Esp the monkey bars!

Firstly plenty of room, don’t get sidetracked from the description saying max 14m Lisa has plenty of room. Land is all flat aswell

Great spot for a quick overnight camp. The toilets and shower were nice and clean. We were the only ones there so it was nice and quiet. We used the bbq in the camp kitchen for a quick cook up, which was handy. We’ll have to come back again when we have more time! Communication was excellent

Lisa and the "Little Critters Camp" is a brilliant "Bush camp" near Gulgong. On arrival Lisa introduced us to the rescue animals. Her enthusiasm for rescue animals is quite contagious. We were able to walk the property to select the best site for our large Caravan, which the trees are deceiving, there is PLENTY of room. All areas are shaded, so careful with power if you are reliant on Solar power, although generators are allowed we didn't need it. We were encouraged to collect firewood from the grounds and had plenty to choose from. Visiting the local town of Gulgong is a must. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Lovely hosts and amazing campsite. Gorgeous views of the valley and canyon, cosy fire pit, and the cleanest toilet we’ve ever found camping! Easy to access kindling and plenty of firewood provided. The night sky was gorgeous with absolutely zero light pollution, and watching the shooting starts by the camp fire was nothing short of magical. Hosts also have plenty of local indigenous knowledge and various activities they can run on request. This is a very special spot - would recommend!

I stayed at the Black Gate Distillery camp ground after stopping by for a rum and whiskey tasting.
I can't recommend the tasting enough. Genise ran me through a tasting of the available spirits, giving a good explanation of each sample.
Then, Brian took me into the distillery to see the inner workings. His passion and enthusiasm was obvious. He gave me tastings of several of the spirits in the barrels while explaining the process. In fact, I had to tell him that my taste buds had had enough as he was happy to keep going.
I was the only person at the camp ground, so it was difficult to rate it. Firewood was supplied, but it was a waste lighting a fire for myself, so I didn't.
The amenities were very good - clean, hot showers. There was a BBQ available, but I didn't use it.

The facilities, including the toilets and showers, were clean and well-maintained. It was great to have access to hot showers. As a tent user, I had asked in advance about the grass length, and it was nicely trimmed just as requested, which made our stay even more comfortable. The site was quiet and offered plenty of privacy. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with hardly anything to complain about. Highly recommended!

We loved Songlark, our 4 days 3 nights there were great, the morning sun, the bird life, we had a wedge tail eagle circle us on their morning and afternoon hunts, along with the stunning vista and so many kangaroos.
Leanne has set up Songlark in a very practical manner with us camping between the campfire, thanks again for supplying all the firewood and the totally fantastic pristine toilet trailer, which was A1 and doubled as our morning & evening washroom.

We loved our stay at The Tree of Life site. We towed our 15 foot pop top camper in easily. We were met by Karen and escorted in which was great. The camp was spacious and we couldn’t see any other site or houses from where we were - bliss! Plenty of firewood in the surrounding bush. Very handy to Hill End - we look forward to returning one day.
