Riverside Farm Retreat is 13 km southeast of Narrabri. It is a horse breeding farm on the banks of the Namoi River, set over 500 acres, where guests can enjoy camping, fishing, canoeing, and relaxing. There is good access for caravans and campers - to get to the property is all tarred roads, with no gates to open, just a cattle grid to cross. The camping area is spread over a beautiful, wide green grassed space, with plenty of level ground. There is an abundance of bird life here, including our pet emu Pepper who roams freely, occasional visiting kangaroos and cattle moseying down in the afternoon sunset to drink from the river opposite.

Set 10km outside of Narrabri on a dirt road is Narrabri Fish Farm. Camp in the serenity alongside 100 ponds. Take the daily fish feeding tour at 10.30am or explore the farm - book in advance or when you arrive. Flushing toilets and hot showers (also a new addition of the donkey shower) Campfires permitted (pending Fire bans, please check). Firewood available upon arrival. Cabins and kiosk coming soon. Fishing will be available from September 2024.

A fully operational property running a mix of enterprises including livestock and manufacturing. There is approximately 3km of Manilla river running through the property. Sites are private and easily accessible. Pets welcome but must be supervised at all times. Animals found disturbing livestock will lead to guests being asked to leave immediately. This is a working farm and this should be respected. Sites are able to cater for larger groups of people with plenty of room. Plenty of room for kids to run around and play. Plenty of areas to walk and enjoy the river and the wildlife. It would be appreciated if vehicles are not driven around the property and are contained to the main entrance roads.

We are nestled between the natural wonders of Mount Kaputar National Park and the interesting rural towns such as Narrabri, Bingara and surrounds. At Eastgrove, it is possible to have a farm stay experience on an organic farm or camp in one of the natural bush areas on the farm. So quiet with just the horses and wildlife. Rick did a check in with us and let us know we could contact him if needed but left us to ourselves. Which was perfect. The donkey shower was a special treat especially after travelling all day. I would highly recommend a stay out at the fish farm.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at one of the HiCamps locations, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home with Rick as the host. Rick was incredibly hospitable and knowledgeable about the area, making our experience even more enjoyable. Our two young boys had an absolute blast catching yabbies, which was a fantastic way to get them engaged with nature away from their devices. The thrill of catching and learning about these little creatures made for unforgettable moments as a family. It’s a pet friendly property which was a bonus The surroundings were beautiful and serene, perfect for relaxation and outdoor activities. Whether you're a fishing enthusiast or just looking to escape into nature, this is the place to be.

Ever in Narrabri, this place is a must do. Just spent 4 days at Narrabri Fish Farm. Cheap with wide open grass sites set in the bush. Bush showers. Camp kitchen and everything you need. Even has cabins. Beautiful peaceful setting and the owner, Rick, is an Aussie bloody legend. Well versed in local knowledge and talking bullshit, he was an absolute card. With his big Territory grin and sense of humour, he made our stay welcoming and we had a wonderful stay… highly recommend

The campsite at Riverside near Narrabri was excellent. All nicely mown, spotless toilet (portaloo). Les was helpful and arrived to greet us both afternoons.
