Riverside Farm Retreat is 13 km southeast of Narrabri. It is a horse breeding farm on the banks of the Namoi River, set over 500 acres, where guests can enjoy camping, fishing, canoeing, and relaxing. There is good access for caravans and campers - to get to the property is all tarred roads, with no gates to open, just a cattle grid to cross. The camping area is spread over a beautiful, wide green grassed space, with plenty of level ground. There is an abundance of bird life here, including our pet emu Pepper who roams freely, occasional visiting kangaroos and cattle moseying down in the afternoon sunset to drink from the river opposite.Come stay one night, or as long as you’d like! ONLY 7 minutes from Narrabri, 50 minutes from Gunnedah. The camping area is suitable for self-contained 5th-wheelers, caravans, campers and mobile homes. One caravan/camper trailer/ roof-top tent/ tent per site - if you have multiple caravans in your group, please book multiple sites. Limited fire pits are provided so you can safely enjoy a campfire. You are also allowed to use your own suspended (off-ground) fire box. (please bring your own wood). The sites are unpowered, so you'll need to have your own power source. We do however provide fresh drinking bore water and two toilets. Well-behaved pets are welcome but you need to pick up their pooh! We also ask that you please take all the rubbish when you go. Secure caravan & camp location. Fully fenced private property.

We loved camping at Riverside Farm Retreat. The view was beautiful and directions were clear. It was lovely and relaxing. The kids enjoyed their visits from Darcy the dog. Will definitely be back!

Had a great 1 night stay! Beautiful spots along the river, plenty of space to find a spot with a view to enjoy the bird life. Would recommend a stop over if you’re in the area!

Riverside Farm Retreat
Riverside retreat was delightful. So picturesque and secluded. The grounds were very well kept. Lovely and green. Parked along the river was amazing. Would recommend this spot to anyone.

It’s a lovely location next to the river and close to Narrabri. Having on site toilets was handy. The hosts were very welcoming… and the emu was too.

The campsite at Riverside near Narrabri was excellent. All nicely mown, spotless toilet (portaloo). Les was helpful and arrived to greet us both afternoons.

There was lots of room for the 10 or so caravans that were camping. The grass is excellent to camp on. The portaloos are a good amenity.

We loved staying at Riverside retreat, the directions were easy to follow and we were met by the care takers on arrival. Our spot right on the bank of the river was awsome as was the fishing.

Lovely wide mown open spaces overlooking a beautiful river. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating with local knowledge of places to visit. Portaloos were available.

Absolutely loved this camp site. Would definitely return. Views were amazing, the stars were spectacular and the hosts were super friendly and inviting! We were a little sad that pepper the emu wasn’t in the best mood (she was looking for a man friend)… but it was super cool to see her walking around the property. Would 100% stay again

This was a fabulous stop. The highlight was definitely Pepper the Emu & Darcy the Dog❤️ we camped on the river for 3 nights to explore Narribri. Highly recommend this stop👍🏻

Exceptional location right by the river. Directions to site where spot on with ease to select a position upon arrival. Found the caretakers at the time to be pleasant and helpful. Will visit again, highly recommended.

Ian was the kind of host to come & check on you to see if you needed anything and to tell you about what's good in the area. Very welcoming. It's a fantastic spot to camp, very cosy. Mind the emu 😄

At $15p/night p/adult i would like toilet paper and hand soap supplied. Just saying 😌 Peppa, the Emu was the highlight 👌 ✨️

Riverside Farm Retreat
Riverside Farm Retreat was perfect!! Spacious green grass sites overlooking the river and the location was nice, peaceful and quiet overnight. Enjoyed a fire and some stargazing. Added bonus was meeting Pepper the emu who came over upon our arrival to help set up! Portable toilets were available onsite however we were self-contained. Would highly recommend staying here!

Fabulous property with fire pits right on the river. Beautiful setting. Will definitely stay there again. Jatz crackers for Pepper were gratefully received. A very pleasant and fun stay.

Perfect one night stop for us. We needed somewhere to stay one night on our travels. Good area if you have a telescope or are keen on taking photos of the night sky. It gets dark!

A large paddock by the river - we stayed 3 nights and loved it. The portacabins were squeaky clean and access was very east, even with a large van. Recommended.

Beautiful sites all along a gorgeous big river!! Incredible sunset!! Very family friendly! And Darcey the dog and Pepper the Emu were so friendly and lovely to meet! We were met on arrival which was lovely. Highly recommended!!!💜
