Contact us before booking for excess details. Riverside Farm Retreat is 13 km southeast of Narrabri. It is a horse breeding farm on the banks of the Namoi River, set over 500 acres, where guests can enjoy camping, fishing, canoeing, and relaxing. Narrabri to Riverside Retreat : From Narrabri. travel east 13 kms out on old Gunnedah Rd (continues on from Main Street). Past Mining camp on your right. Over Bulewa Ck bridge, go PAST Pikes lane on your left, take NEXT turn LEFT onto Maules Ck Rd. View to your right, house on river and yards on left, Riverside Retreat sign on the gates. - [ ] B&B Guest’s use main entrance. Caravans & Campers DO NOT TURN INTO MAIN GATE OF HOMESTEAD. Continue on 300 mtrs past main gates just around corner turn right over cattle grid. Make your way towards the river and find a nice spot if you have not already been allocated a site. Reverse pack on river front sites in peak periods only. POTABLE WATER : there are 4 tapes provided for you to top up or drink. It’s Bore water and very clean and fresh. We have 🐓FRESH FARM EGGS: Just ask us when you arrive - $7 per dozen 🥚 There is good access for caravans and campers - to get to the property is all tarred roads, with no gates to open, just a cattle grid to cross. The camping area is spread over a beautiful, wide green grassed space, with plenty of level ground. Fire pits are provided bring your own wood. Do not light fires outside of fire pits unless you have an above ground fire pit of your own. Under no circumstances tip fire ashes over river bank put all ashes into large round below ground fire pits. Near toilets. There is an abundance of bird life here, including our pet emu Pepper who roams freely, occasional visiting kangaroos and cattle moseying down in the afternoon sunset to drink from the river opposite.

Come stay one night, or as long as you’d like! ONLY 7 minutes from Narrabri, 50 minutes from Gunnedah. The camping area is suitable for self-contained 5th-wheelers, caravans, campers and mobile homes. One caravan/camper trailer/ roof-top tent/ tent per site - if you have multiple caravans in your group, please book multiple sites. Limited fire pits are provided so you can safely enjoy a campfire. You are also allowed to use your own suspended (off-ground) fire box. (please bring your own wood). The sites are unpowered, so you'll need to have your own power source. We do however provide fresh drinking bore water and two toilets. Well-behaved pets are welcome but you need to pick up their pooh! We also ask that you please take all the rubbish when you go. Secure caravan & camp location. Fully fenced private property.

Riverside Farm Stay is absolutely amazing. So close to the river and watching the ducks swim around and frolicking was great. Our Coco 🐶 got so much joy watching them for hours. Darcy, their beautiful dog came to visit and initially we were a bit worried as Coco prefers people to dogs but was quite happy with Darcy’s company. Darcy is a beautiful gentle dog who just comes to visit, loves a pat but doesn’t get all up your face and doesn’t annoy your own dog. Pepper the emu came for a visit on our third day but I had let my guard down thinking he/she wasn’t going to come and unfortunately Coco chased him/her away but once yelled at didn’t continue the chase. Even though we are fully self sufficient having potable water was absolutely amazing, as well as the clean toilets which were a bonus. We also appreciated the green grass rather than dirt. Thank you Ian and Meredith for sharing your piece of paradise with others. We loved our 4 night stay there and would recommend to others.

I was on a motorcycle trip and camped here overnight. So great when you're tent camping to have toilet and water available and the location by the creek is picturesque and peaceful. Plenty of fire pits as well for use. Ian came over and had a chat- really friendly host. We have a trip up north coming in December and we'd really like to come back again with a camper trailer and dogs.

Fantastic spot, riverside, fire pits and water and portaloo available. The caretakers were lovely and helpful. The portaloos were so clean too. Easy access for big rigs and heaps of space between sits.

Wonderfully simple to book and an absolutely beautiful spot. My only regret is that I came with a hammock and not a swag It was very windy, which made it cold. That's my fault though, and I'll definitely be coming back the next time im in the area.

Nice place by the river. Not too far from Narrabri and well kept. The addition of cameras and warning signs stating you’re under surveillance though is a deal breaker.
