There are avocado trees, an orange orchard and a variety of other fruiting trees on the far. We have a dam and a bore on the property with an aviary, several sheds and warehouses. There are free public Dump Points available in Bellingen, Urunga, Mylestom and Coffs Harbour A mains WATER tap is available for use upon request, though it is located a short distance from the campsite. At The Good Life, we’re big on personal space. Every campsite is large, private and genuinely secluded, giving you the feeling you’re a long way from everyone and everything. Your own patch of paradise. No caravan awnings poking you in the eye, no surprise drop-ins, and no listening to your neighbour’s snoring, generator or life story. Bliss. Forget your phone alarm. Your morning wake-up call is the local kookaburra choir having a proper laugh at life. This is a true back-to-nature escape for anyone needing to pull up a stump, slow right down and properly unplug. Think of The Good Life as a safe, private slice of bush that feels like the middle of nowhere, because it pretty much is. You’ll need to be fully self-contained and take everything you bring in back out with you. Leave only footprints and good memories. What you do with your time is entirely up to you. Beautiful location right on the Bellinger River. Close to Urunga and the historic Bellingen village. Quiet and tranquil. Even there were another 5 vans on the property, everyone had enough distance and privacy which is fantastic. There are mozzies around at night so don’t forget to pack repellent. Great and easy to launch a boat, kayak etc right by the campsite. Norah is very helpful and prompt to reply if you text with any questions etc. Location was easy to find with clear instructions from Norah. Highly recommend for such a convenient yet private and tranquil site. Will definitely be back again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Riverwood 383 – Bonnie’s Paddock. From the moment we arrived, the setting exceeded our expectations. The paddock offers beautiful, peaceful river frontage, making it ideal for swimming, kayaking, fishing, or simply relaxing by the water. We enjoyed launching our kayak straight from the bank and spent hours exploring the gentle bends of the river – it was truly a highlight of our trip. The site itself felt wonderfully spacious and private, with plenty of room to set up camp without feeling crowded. The natural surrounds create a real sense of being off-grid, while still being close enough to town for conveniences and access to local attractions like Bellingen’s cafes, shops and beaches. The hosts were welcoming and communicative, providing clear arrival instructions and helpful local tips. We appreciated how easy check-in was and how responsive they were to questions before arrival. Facilities were exactly as described – simple, clean and suited to the nature-focused experience that Riverwood 383 promises. We came prepared for minimal infrastructure, and it made the stay feel more authentic and back-to-basics, which we enjoyed. Overall, this was one of the most scenic and tranquil camping spots we’ve visited. Whether you’re into fishing, boating, or just unwinding beside the water, Bonnie’s Paddock is an excellent choice. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back!

The hosts were extremely friendly and hospitable, they recommended site 6 to us and we were absolutely glad they did. It was very private and just an amazing place to stay. Our dog was able to run around freely without any distractions as the site is very private and away from all other sites. Nana Glen is a beautiful place, it has a very quiet country town feel, there are so many great water holes to explore and some great 4WD spots. It’s only a short 30min drive to Coffs Harbour for major shops and 30 mins gets you to many different amazing beaches. We would absolutely stay there again and are already thinking about our next trip. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an amazing camping place.

We booked this site on incredibly short notice and have absolutely no regrets. The moment we showed up we were greeted with big smiles and fresh eggs! We were so shocked considering we gave them only 30 minutes notice of our arrival. Our site had just been taken by someone else, but Ro directed us down to a site next to a little stream and pond. It was just what we needed for a few nights to get some washing done and have some downtime. The Firepit was excellent and there was already a heap of firewood for us to use. We had a heap of fun trying to catch yabbies and identify frogs. The hosts were so lovely, and even checked if the nearby mowing was too annoying for us. We felt so welcomed here and are excited to come back and see all the amazing things they have planned for this camp.

Most amazing stay. The views were absolutely incredible and the property is huge. We stayed in the pony paddock at the top of the hill and it was fantastic. The facilities were excellent — we used the kitchen heaps and the shower was always hot with amazing water pressure. Drewe and Robyn were the friendliest hosts ever. We loved getting to play with their gorgeous dog Bella, meeting the chickens, and eating loads of delicious fruit straight from the trees around the farm. Such a special place — we can’t wait to come back.

When to go

Summer (December through March) is peak season in Moonee Beach, but it’s still warm enough to swim through spring and autumn. Winter visitors can spot migrating humpback whales along the coast, while a spring visit is best for bird-watching and sees the headlands blooming with wildflowers. Temperatures are mild year-round, so outdoor activities are possible whenever you visit.

Know before you go

Moonee Beach is located 22km north of Coffs Harbour or about a 20-minute drive along the Pacific Highway. There is free parking at Moonee Creek and Look at Me Now car parks.
There is a supermarket, cafés, and a few shops in Moonee Beach, but for specialist camping gear you might need to go to Coffs Harbour. There are restrooms, beach showers, picnic benches, and barbecue areas in the Moonee Beach Nature Reserve.
Fire bans are common throughout New South Wales during dry periods.
