Located in the heart of the Hunter Valley. Come stay with us at the Hunter River bush camp, located on our 20 acres! The campsites are located on our lower paddock - secluded and private. You will be likely not see another human in your time down there.
Theres plenty of space for large groups and vehicles. As to maintain the private and secluded nature of this site, we have limited the space to 1 site only so you'll have the place to yourself! The bottom camp is small and level - good for single groups of 1-2 vehicles, the upper camp is on a bit of a slope and may require chocks for vans and the like, but great for larger groups. Both camps are adjacent to each other so you can take one, or take the lot! all included in the same booking and price
The Hunter River is a short 5min walk down the stone steps, where you and your dogs can fish, swim or enjoy a cold can.
The property has good access - less than 10mins from Hunter Expressway. 1hr40mins from Wahroonga, 40mins from Jesmond

Fires are permitted - firewood available for purchase during booking.

Fantastic spot. I have been four times with my sons and will continue to go. Jim is a great host and provides a perfect combination of bush outlook, privacy and spaced out camping spots with the comfort of your own toilet and drinking water. Also have easy access to Morisset for supplies if needed. Highly recommend.

In a wonderful part of the country. Ours was only a short stay to break up a longer trip, but it was just what the doctor ordered. A nice relaxing afternoon and a restful sleep to prepare for the journey home.

We loved camping at Mandalong Manor! Our site was well secluded from other campers. Jim drove down 20L water jerries each day. We saw many kangaroos and birds and they did not raid our site. We had a nice view from our site. Jim was welcoming and helpful and saved us from our car trouble. Jim's neighbours were really nice. Jim has a cool collection of old Land Rovers. Overall great experience would reccomend!

Great spot. Paddocks were a bit wet so put us up on the concrete near office overlooking dam. Margaret was very welcoming. Came over for a chat at the end by of the day to thank us for staying. Highly recommend.

Ana's land is beautiful. Perched up on the hill, with views as far as the eye can see! Waking up & looking out of our caravan window at the vines was very special.
We were treated to a tasting of a couple of Ana's wines, which were lovely, and her famous Limoncello, which is just delicious!

We had a wonderful time camping on Margaret’s farm. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and went above and beyond more than once to help us. Beautiful views, sunsets and sunrises were just picturesque and I loved waking up to the sounds of the animals saying good morning to each other.
Highly recommend the horse riding too it was an amazing experience with more stunning views and you can see how much the staff really care for the horses.
10/10 experience and highly recommend to anyone and everyone. Thank you again!!

Nice camping spot for a relaxed little getaway. The spots to fellow campers are really far from each other, so you still have peace and quiet in case others decided for the same spot.
Lots of wallabies and kangaroos around, very peaceful.
The organic toilet worked well, no smell or whatsoever.
Can recommend the place!

We had a lovely time at Hunter River Bush Camp. It was peaceful and spacious for us to set up camp. It was great to be able to have our dog off the leash the whole time, and he loved the nearby river. Nice lookout on the walk down to the river - the descent is a bit steep but ok if you're up for an adventure! Christian was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Thanks for having us, Christian!
