This property is an off grid retreat with an abundance of wildlife. Our quiet rural retreat is just under 30 acres and has kangaroos, wombats ,possums and echidnas , wallabies and a range of bird life. Our property is a hobby farm with chickens, vegetable garden and we make condiments and fresh farm eggs to sell , we bake fresh bread on demand. We are pet friendly but pets must be controlled at all times and not chase the wildlife. We have a off leash area that is fenced where your fury friends can have play dates and run around. There are 4 large camping sites that must be you must self contained and leave nothing but footprints and great memories. Plenty of room for vans , boats , cars to park at your site . Camp site is a short distance from gate and 2wd can access. There is a communal fire place and wood is supplied but no collection of firewood. Fire only permitted in fire seasons. Come and camp on the banks of a creek, where the bushranger Ben Hall used to camp with his horses in the mid 1800s! The property is located smack bang in the middle of Young, Forbes, West Wylong and Cowra - taking about an hour to drive to each. The is plenty to do and see in the area, including exploring the nearby Weddin Mountains National Park and Bimbi State Forest. Just 20 minute North is the quaint town of Grenfell. Tucked into the beautiful Lachlan Valley, Grenfell is a fascinating gold rush town with great galleries, historic buildings and superb country pubs. There are also many events celebrating the town’s rich history and culture. Campers will enjoy flat, grassy sites on this 15 acre block. The creek is suitable for swimming, fishing, yabbying and paddling, and is quite wide in spots. This campsite suits self contained campers, who bring their own facilities and leave no trace. The access is via a dirt road (easy drive). You're welcome to bring your dog.

I had a great time camping at Revelstone Mountain. Graeme was an amazing host and a great guy. Views were amazing. Site was so peaceful and my kids had a great time. Highly reccomend if you enjoy a farm camp out of town.

Revelstone is a really unique and well thought-out campsite with everything you could need. The teepee is super comfy and sunset views are fantastic! Great for dogs too but there is wildlife there too so do keep them on a lead. Graeme was an excellent host throughout and really helpful. Will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to REVELSTONE MOUNTAIN CAMPS

Despite our nerves that our Subaru forester with a heavy box trailer wouldn’t get up the mountain, we booked Campers Den in the hope that all would be fine, and thanks to some dry tracks we cruised up the mountain with ease. We were in awe the moment we got to the top, the views at Revelstone mountain were perfection, the solitude and serenity we felt calmed our city souls to the core, This spot is special, it’s private, thoughtfully designed for all kinds of camp set ups. We got to explore a few of the sites around the property and each had its own unique charm. Campers Den, the edge of a mountain, overlooking the sunsets each night was incredible. We had what we are guessing was an eagle or two flying overhead each day. There is a beautiful tree for some shade. Though not protected from wind like others have mentioned, our set up withstood some strong gusty nights, just make sure you peg everything down and we took our gazebo roof off too. Our 7 and 4 year olds enjoyed running around, making noise without being told to be quiet, and the isolation meant we were all comfortable to fully unwind without feeling like we had to be respectfully quiet so as not to disturb others. The dam was so close that we got to enjoy some swimming and splashing in the Christmas holiday crowds, but returning to camp was always the highlight. Thanks to Graeme, a very kind and hospitable host, for an amazing experience, we will be back!

We loved the views! Walking the dogs amongst the rocks, looking out over the hills and valleys. Sitting outside the van in the evening as the sun set. A great spot, well worth visiting. We will go to Revelstone Mountain again

I love this place, been there a few times. A unique property with a mountain. There are many mountain camps and several further down the mountain. Some great tracks to explore. I did it in 4x4 but would be a really nice walk too. Flying fox will be operating by now.

Beautiful peaceful spot, listening to the birds and watching the roos. Our 2 dogs were welcome and they have a dog run area. Fiona and John are extremely welcoming and provided a comfortable stay in their van.

Fiona and John were great and Travellers Rest was such a quiet and peaceful stay. We were met on arrival with such a friendly vib and nothing was too much trouble. Fiona's homemade relish and sauces were delicious and added to the whole experienced. We had a visit from the host's lovely pups... just delightful. 100% recommend, thanks Fiona and John!

Exceptional!!! Best Hipcamp stay we have had thus far ☀️🙌. Sites are stunning, you are spaced generously around the property so get a real sense of privacy and quiet. The facilities are excellent. Only consideration, if you are bringing kiddos there are some stinging nettles when your adventure the property, so pack some antihistamines and sting-goes, did the trick when our 5yo landed his hand on one. But this is a MUST visit! Totally worth the drive from Sydney 🙌👌🏽☀️
