Backing onto McPhersons forest, our campsites are ideally located within a short treck or bike ride into the forest.
The forest has a beautiful creek and waterfall, perfect for a day trip.
The property is conveniently located 1 hour from Sydney and just a 2 minute drive to groceries, food and a pharmacy and 7 minutes from the pub and a doctor.
A 30 minutes form town and close to attractions such as Glenworth Valley and Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary. Also Markets every 2nd and 4th Weekend.
The site currently does not have toilets or electrical facilities, but something we are working on. So please bring your own toilet and take with you.

At Wildwoods you'll find 330 acres of natural bushland and a small amount of cleared farmland/paddocks with incredible views in every direction. Endless gullies, mountains, forests, cliffs, and caves to explore on the property or on the crown land adjoining.
An amazing amount of wildlife - Birds, wombats, kangaroos of all kinds (wallaby, wallaroo, eastern greys etc), goannas, echidnas, turtles, ducks just to name a few.
There are also plenty of roads to ride and explore via mountain bike or foot.
This is the perfect place for those who want to be in total peace and quiet, surrounded by nature and wildlife.

Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes.
I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups.
Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. Please note that the canyon photos are from a spot that is very difficult to get to.
I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost.
The property offers a number of sites that can accommodate various group numbers. Please message me if you're interested in booking one or more listings for your special get together.
Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly, but no cats please. Also please be aware that we are surrounded by nature and part of nature are snakes and ticks.

Please be aware that due to our proximity to the road and rail that at times you will hear some traffic noise. But most times it is very quiet except for the frogs.

There is also a fruit orchard on the property and many opportunities for interesting bushwalks both on the property and nearby.
The property and camping area boasts beautiful views over the valley below and across the Wategan ranges. There are several good options for camping spots, some in the cleared spaces others tucked into the beautiful spotted gums.
The property is located in Kulnura which is an easy 50-minute drive from Wahroongah. A cafe, general store, and service station are within a ten-minute drive. There is also a horse stud nearby.
All campers need to be self-sufficient, with their own camp toilet and we kindly ask you to take all your waste when you go.

We had such a beautiful camping experience at this ranch. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was calm, open, and incredibly refreshing. The orchard views, fresh air, and wide green spaces created the perfect environment to unwind and reconnect with nature.
The grounds were well maintained, spacious, and ideal for both relaxation and family time. Waking up to the sound of birds and enjoying quiet evenings under the sky made it feel like a true escape from the busyness of everyday life. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and just be present.
It felt safe, peaceful, and thoughtfully cared for. Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat, a family camping trip, or simply time to reset, this ranch offers the perfect setting.
Last but not the least,the kids had the best tym,they enjoyed the tractor ride,feeding the animal and walk to the water fall. It was wonderful.
We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning our next visit.

Beautiful spot with plenty of tracks to explore the bushland. The road to/from the actual camp site was easy to follow and well maintained. Plenty of privacy from the other camping spots on the property. Will definitely return!

This is such a beautiful and precious hip camp. The people that run the farm are so lovely and very accomodating. They do tours on weekends and take you to their animals. /teach you about the farm and its history.
There is a really lovely waterfall and walk and the orchards are beautiful to walk around with tasteful oranges!
The funds raised from the hip camp goes to the Rotary charity in many countries it is a very cool concept.
We would highly recommend checking this out!

Nice place for a private camp in the Blue Mountains. Sites are big and secluded. Nice views. About 2km on a small dirt road to get there but the road is very well maintained. Made it in an RV no troubles. Happy with our experience.

Lovely place. Very scenic and peaceful. Would benefit from toilet upgrade. We almost cooked inside the tin shed with the warm weather. No escape from warm weather with not being allowed in the water and not much shade. Caretaker was lovely. Kids loved the animals being around to say hello to. Would go back but maybe not in summer.

Had an awesome time camping in a large group at Bonnie Doon. The dam was great for non stop entertainment for young and old. Matthew was a very flexible and approachable host. Was a great base camp for climbing and canyoning over the weekend. Would highly recommend.

Beautifully secluded spot but still close to all that Blackheath and the rest of the Blue Mountains has to offer. We had an awesome couple of days here. Our dog was free to roam a little too as we were far enough away from the other sites. Looking forward to coming back!

We’ve been staying at the grassy paddock really with friends and it’s the perfect camp site with everything we need. Ample space away from other campers, clean toilets, the dam is always great for a dip to cool off in the summer and Matt is always so welcoming and easy to talk to. It’s a pleasure to visit each year and we hope to keep returning.

Great drive in along Megalong road, and the site trail was well maintained. The campsite itself is secluded and private, great views of the surrounding cliffs during the day and gorgeous views of the stars during the night. A couple of kangaroos swing by to say g’day in the morning.
