Our property is set in a tranquil location on the banks of the Bundidgerry Creek out of view of main road, safely behind a locked gate. The campsite is a convenient 14km from Narrandera, and 12km from Grong Grong, not far off the Newell Highway. In town you will find all the supply and grocery stores to meet your needs.Located on the banks of Bundidgerry Creek on the Old Wagga Road you will find the old Cobb & Co route, south of the Newell Highway. Camp along the same water’s edge where travellers from past centuries would stop overnight on their journey out west. The campsite is located on the edge of the creek in an open, grassed area with plenty of shady trees. The creek flows well all year round and offers a fantastic spot for the family to enjoy. Swim, fish, kayak, canoe, launch a boat or relax and read a book as the sunlight reflects off the water.At camp you will have access to the undercover camp kitchen with a sink, BBQ and tables. There is a firepit, wood fired pizza oven for cooking. Guests have access to a gas hot water shower and flushing toilet. The River Cabin: We have a modern, fresh cabin that can accommodate up to 2 guests, with the option of a further 6 guests to camp near it where they'll be able to use the cabin as a base, and will have access to power and water. Self-contained camping: Hyde Park: We have a beautiful open area to camp along the Murrumbidgee River, which is fantastic for a group of self-contained campers. Plenty of room, open country and riverside fun. One booking at a time, so you have this entire area to yourselves. All campers here must be self-contained with their own camp toilet, power and drinking water. “Amaroo” means “A Pretty Place” in traditional Wiradjuri language and thats exactly what you will find at Amaroo On McLays. We are 3.5km from the Narrandera town centre, so all amenities are close by. Suitable for all types of vans, RVs, camper trailers, although you must be self contained. The property has a security coded gate and is boarded by the main canal on the north and the Murrumbidgee Regional Park on the south. It’s only 100m from the Murrumbidgee river and a 2minute drive or short bike ride to a large sandy swimming beach. We have an abundance of resident wildlife on site (including koalas) We welcome short or long stay and pets are welcome on request. It's the perfect base for exploring everything the Riverina has to offer.

Fantastic private spot, great amenities. If you go do yourself a favour and make use of the pizza oven -great afternoon spent catching fish and cooking pizza. Host AJ was very responsive and helpful make sure to visit the Grong Grong Pub. 😊

We had an afternoon and overnight at an easily accessible, private, single campsite on the Bundidgery Creek. The list of facilities is impressive and although a little rustic, they are comfortable and functional. We did not use the pizza oven or gas 3 burner BBQ that were part of the camp kitchen. The fire pit was large and well built, perfect for our cooking. A hot shower and flushing toilet were uncommon facilities at a river campsite with a sandy beach.

A beautiful peaceful spot for a weekend stay with our dog. Host Aj meet us at the gate, showed us to the spot. Able to have a fire and there is an unsuited if needed. Would recommend this spot to stay.

Wonderful quiet and private camp-site beside the ample flowing creek. Facilities of BBQ, flush toilet and shower once you have heated water using gas supplied are all fantastic. I feel privileged to have experienced this special place. On AJ's suggestion had lovely Sat even pizza at Grong Grong hotel. I look forward to returning.

Amazing spot to stay and super hospitality. Arrived on a cold winter afternoon to a lit fit in the fire pit and a warm greeting from Debbie who spent time having a welcome drink with us. Nothing too much trouble, lovely level sites and good grass…and even a picnic table. We will return!

We had a loverly location just out of town. Beautiful private spot surrounded by native bush to explore. We had a plenty of options to place our van. The host was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble , had a fire pit prepared for us with a supply of wood, clean wooden table to have our meals if needed. One of the best hipcamps we’ve stayed at.
