This Homestead is set on 22 acres, just a short drive from the home of the Black Stump at Weetaliba, NSW. Camping under the stars is a must here as you are able to star-gaze at Australia's first Dark Sky Park. The homestead has 3 separate paddocks each with their own dam where you can have total privacy during your camp. Although you may have a visit from the resident sheep who graze the pastures (don't worry - they are friendly). A perfect place for bird watching an array of native birds including rosellas, cockatoos, and currawongs and you will hear the kookaburras every morning and evening. There are also kangaroos, wallabies and echidnas who roam the area. It's a beautiful place to snap a pic especially if you catch the morning sunrises and spectacular sunsets which are guaranteed to wow you. Do as little or as much as you want to on your stay. A perfect place to just unwind and take in the fresh country air and beautiful views. Stroll around the property and visit the old barn and some of the sheds and farming equipment that are scattered among the paddocks. You will have access to composting toilets or feel free to BYO facilities. Campfires are welcome in the pits provided, permitting there are no restrictions at the time of your visit. Dogs are welcomed as long as they are supervised and kept indoors at night. Being within 20 minutes to the local town of Coolah, it's a perfect stop over for an overnight stay or for a long weekend. 2 nights at Maalaabidi Naturist Farm Stay

We stayed in the Dingo's Den cabin. Very private, quiet, relaxed, peaceful and romantic. Loved the "outdoor" facilities. The Cabin is very well equipped with all mod cons and air-conditioning. Graham is a wonderful host and very attentive. It's a 5 Star rating from us.

1 night at Lisadan Cottage and Homestead

We loved our stay in the beautiful Belle tent on Lisa’s farm. We had everything we needed, the tent has its own (very clean) drop toilet, hot shower and camp kitchen that included a large bbq and even a tucker box fridge that kept our food cool. It was a heat wave when we arrived and Lisa suggested a swim in the dam that was a life saver. Our kelpie Chester loved every minute and especially the friendly morning visit from Lisa’s beautiful kelpie Arthur.

Weekend Trip to Lisadan Cottage and Homestead

My daughter had a great time playing with the farm animals. Lisa and Dan were super friendly and accommodating. We had fresh eggs to eat daily. This was our first camping trip. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. The accommodation was very private. Night time we had a camp fire and watched the stars. We loved our stay.

3 nights at Maalaabidi Naturist Farm Stay

My husband and I stayed at Dingo den cabin at Maalabidi for 3 nights and I could tell this was one of the most beautiful experience we had in a long time. We definitely didn't feel like leaving this beautiful place and warm company of Graham and Janice who made this extremely special for us . We had a perfect time - Stunning vistas, in the middle of a little forest, very close to town, completely dark surroundings which makes it perfect to enjoy the gorgeous night sky, waking up to gorgeous sunrise, having open hot shower right under the milky way , native trees and lot of wildlife around, sitting by the campfire at under the stunning star studded sky and sharing stories with Graham - was an experience we would never forget. The cabin itself was super comfy with a nice kitchenette and fridge and a quite a well stocked kitchen just few steps away in the big shed. Don't miss the coffee at Grahams bar! We felt extremely privileged to listen to the super talented Graham beautifully play the didgeridoo and violin for us. Hard to come across someone so beautiful and creative like him - such a great musician ( he has got a a band), a pilot, with depth of knowledge about Aboriginal culture, practices, love for nature and protecting the environment...someone so full of wisdom. One should definitely spend some time and slowly experience this place. During the day, we did hikes at Warrumbungles, visited Piliga forest, Siding spring observatory and explored the lovely Coonabaraban town.

Weekend Trip to Lisadan Cottage and Homestead

Lisa and Dave have done an incredible job creating a one of a kind retreat on the property (genuinely were caught off guard how nice it was). The tent is spacious and styled and they made my partner and I feel at home as soon as we got there. We originally booked as a stop between Glen Innes and Canberra so had low expectations and wish we had left more time just to enjoy it! We went to the pub for dinner however the cooking set up was excellent and we would definitely bring food next time if we hadn't got caught out with public holidays limiting our shopping options although the lower pub put on a great feed. Definitely say hello to the animals they have there, the donkeys in particular were friendly and keen to say hello. Would highly recommend and stay again in the future!
