Nestled amongst the mountains just outside of the township of Whittlesea our 40-acre property sits above the clouds. This experience comes with sweeping views, a hidden waterfall, a clear campground, and plenty of wildlife.
The camping area is accessible by 4WD only, otherwise, strap on a backpack and earn it! (800m walk/hike from where a non-4WD can park). The waterfall is reached by a single trail track from the campsite, and you do need to be an experienced hiker to get to the waterfall. Which is part of the appeal!
We welcome self-contained campers, who bring their own toilet and take all waste with them. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy.
Or choose to stay in our beautiful A-frame cabin, with plush bedding, cozy fire, and outdoor lounge. More than anything else this is a place to relax and be away from normal, live outside yourself, and rediscover what weekends are for.
Dogs are welcome, so long as they don't bother the wildlife.
Campfires are allowed, BYO firewood or campers can collect fallen timber from the property.

I haven’t stayed at little A yet. I’m rescheduling my stay as I couldn’t take my little kids and dog there in the 40degree plus heat especially once I realised we’d have to walk quite a way. Patrick has been very responsive to my messages and very understanding about my need to shorten/reschedule our stay. I’m looking forward to our stay.

What an incredible escape! Aurora-Exclusive delivered everything we hoped for and more. Our host was genuinely welcoming and made the check-in process seamless - you can tell they truly care about creating a memorable experience for their guests.
The privacy here is unmatched. It felt like having our own private slice of the Blue Mountains—no direct neighbours, no noise, just surrounded by stunning bushland and those breathtaking escarpment views.
The hut is wonderful - thoughtfully designed and perfectly positioned to make the most of the scenery. It provided the perfect base for our adventure while still feeling connected to nature.
The highlight of each evening was gathering around the campfire under the star-filled sky. There's something magical about sitting by the crackling flames with wombats and kangaroos wandering nearby - it's the kind of authentic Australian bush experience you dream about.
It was amazing that we were allowed to bring our dog! It made this trip complete.

We loved spending the night in the A-frame. It was so quiet up on the mountain side, nestled between the beautiful trees. We had stargazing from our beds at night too!
Pack light as the walk up to reach the A-frame gets the heart rate up! We would absolutely visit again!

We had the most wonderful stay here, it was so calm and peaceful listening to the sounds of nature. The cabin is beautiful, it had everything we needed including a mini fridge since we came without any camping gear. We would definitely come back to stay, gorgeous spot to get some much needed R&R without the hassle of packing all of the camping gear. Our only complaint is that we should have stayed for longer!

Weekend Trip to Magic Mountain
We stayed with a toddler and a dog, and had a great time. The site was well organised and the A frame was clean and cosy. Our toddler loved reading books in the beanbag under the loft bed. A gas bbq and a wood fired pizza oven made life easy and we loved watching the sun set together from the giant hammock. The speed bumps going up the driveway are pretty intense, as previously noted. We have an Outback and still struggled on some of them. I'd recommend taking them on an angle at the edges, where the gradient isn't so steep. The way down is much easier.
Overall, we loved it. An easy getaway from the city with a great view.

Wow! This cabin on 300 acres of aussie bush really is something special! We stayed 2 nights in February and loved every minute. Matt was such a big help to us, and very patient as I had a few questions before we arrived. I contented myself around the cabin site, enjoying the campfire, cooking outdoors and just relaxing with our very old little dog. My hubby took off on some walks about the property, up to catch the views from hilltops and take in the spaciousness of the area. I would love to go to Matt's again for some tent camping on another occasion.

The negative reviews for this site seemed overly dramatic to me, I wouldn't be discouraged. Glad I wasn't.
Absolutely perfect location, great selection of amenities, nice outlook, decent phone reception. Gas bath is great. This location would be incredible for larger groups over a weekend. Recommended.
