Site 1 - VT Farm on Trout Stream
Fantastic campsite. It was incredibly private, easy to find, and the instructions were so detailed that we didn’t need to contact the host at all. The site was immaculate and had everything you’d want: a great fire pit, picnic table, chairs, and a beautiful nearby stream to explore. The location was perfect too, with restaurants, ice cream, a gas station, swimming holes, and great mountain biking all close by. Highly recommend.

My husband and I have stayed here numerous times and will continue coming in the future because it's one of our favorite places on earth. So grateful for this gorgeous property and the great people who run it. Each site is well equipped, well cared for, and absolutely stunning!

For us this was perfect! We tent camp and the campsite was flat and sandy. It was easy to stake out the tent and there was plenty of area with short cut grass for the kids to run around. It rained for three days straight before we arrived and it was plenty dry for our tent. We arrived after dark and getting to the campsite was no problem at all. We had all the privacy and solitude we could want. Firewood was dry. We hope to return. Awesome awesome Hipcamp. Thank you!

We stayed on camp #1 and it felt the most private of all 3 sites, very clean and the fields with wild flowers and the mountain views were just perfect! The river was really cool too, it was May so still chilly but would love to come back to hang out in it in warmer temps. There were also 2 bald eagles flying over us daily! Such a great spot

Beautiful wide open space right next to a stream. My dog had a blast running around the campsite and up and down into the stream. Spring camping so didn’t fully get to enjoy the water but would love to go back when it gets warm.

This is my 3rd trip here and it's great every time! My dogs loved running in the river and in the field. I got to meet Peter this time and what a great host.

The host accepted our last minute request on a holiday weekend! Great private spot in open field. Easy communications with host, family friendly and great for dogs. The river is a nice addition for the kids/dog. True to VT, it’s close to nothing, nearest coffee is 20 mins away. Great escape.

Awesome place to camp! Each site is very wide and very isolated. My dog had plenty of room to run around. Peter also makes it very easy to purchase wood from him. Will definitely be booking again in the future!

Site 3 - VT Farm on Trout Stream
Had an amazing getaway from Boston at Peter’s property. The campsites were private and quiet and all amenities were as described. Each site had a fire ring, picnic table, and a charcoal grill. A clean stream runs along each site. There was enough water in the stream to float on a tube even during a recent drought. My partner and two dogs had a great time and can’t wait to be back. Highly recommended

I loved camping at Peter's farm! The bathroom is a bit far, but it's really not too bad from Site 1 and also considering there is a stream nearby. The stream is beautiful and had access points. You don't really hear the traffic from the road. It's a beautiful private site to stargaze, cook, and enjoy nature in Vermont!!!

This spot was great! We got there late, so don’t be like us + miss the orange reflective sign to the field the first few times! It’s easy to follow the signs from the pull-in. The stars were gorgeous, and the area was well maintained with cut grass. My dogs loved sniffing around and playing before we set off. You couldn’t hear any cars from the road. Highly recommend, will come back in the future!

We stayed at site 1 which is super private. Couldn't really see anyone or be seen by them. The stars are great and being able to have the dogs off leash was awesome. The only thing I would change is I wish the stream was bigger but I know the area was in a drought, so not sure what it's normally like.

I loved camping here! The stars were incredible, the campsite was easy to find and large enough for multiple tents. I am glad that I read reviews and brought a shade tent as well- it does get warm in the sun! Lovely fire pit, and we had a great time walking through the river to cool off. Porta potty was kept clean, and purchasing wood at the campsite was very convenient. Out of a group of five people, only one person had cell service at the site, so it might be good to know that ahead of time if you’ll be using your gps to navigate into town.

We saw the Milky Way! There were some clouds passing through, but during the clear times the stars were very clear and beautiful. The sites are laid out perfectly, with each one having its own privacy. Nice flat areas for tents next to a small stream. It was quite low in summer 2025, but I could see it being a great fishing stream or small swimming area and wetter seasons.

I loved tent camping here! Directions were clear. We stayed at site 1 which was amazing! Most private and had great access to the stream behind the site! Barely any light pollution and you have a clear view of the Milky Way at night! Port a John was about a 10 min walk from site one! Some chairs, a solo stove, a nice picnic table and a table were a nice added touch. Will definitely be coming again! Can’t get over how peaceful it was and how beautiful the view is.

Site 1 - VT Farm on Trout Stream
Site 1 was perfectly private, quiet, and an easy short walk to the river. There was a fire pit, picnic table, grill, and table available and it was great to have the option to have firewood there when we arrived. The Mountain View’s around the site were lovely and night sky clear and bright. We couldn’t hear the other campers at the other sites. Keep in mind that the porto potty is a good 10 minute walk from site 1. Would definitely book again.

Really nice spot right on a stream and just off the VTXL bikepacking route. Spots are a ways away from each other, so it's nice and private no matter which one you choose.

We loved tent camping here! And we loved that check out was later in the day. It gave us time to walk through and dip in the river the next day, which was a blast for the kiddos, pups, and adults in our group! It was such a beautiful space, and such a great spot to do some stargazing. We loved this spot so much, we want to come back again this fall!

This site is amazing! Beautiful views of the mountains, we took several pictures. The private river entrance right off the site was wonderful and the dogs LOVED it. Its not very deep but perfect to dip in and cool down after hiking. The fireplace was very nice with a cooking grate, and the firewood was a great size bundle for the price. Overall loved this site and we will be back to stay again!
