The Daydream cabin was the cutest weekend spot for my dog and I! Our host was so welcoming, the land was beautiful, and all facilities were clean and easy to use. I definitely plan to stay here again!

Some times a place is so good I just want to leave the right review. However, for that reason it is also difficult to get it started. This is my last day for review appare tly and I didn't want it to go blank, so I'll be ramblin' a bit, unstructured. This is my first time ever putting up a tent to camp with my three dogs. My only real goal was to sleep outside with my dogs, and let them have some degree of freedom. This place was just right for that. Stefanie was incredibly generous in offering extra accommodation in potentially inclement weather. While I didn't ultimately need it, it gave me great comfort to know it was there. You don't really run in to that kind of generosity these days. It definitely makes a person feel welcome, which is something I in turn welcome as an anxious person. The place/setting is beautiful, and the surrounding views were quite amazing. I had only booked for one day due to weather. I packed up and hours later I still havent left the area (it was so hard to leave such a wonderful place), so I unpacked again for another night. I'm so glad I did. I'm sure this review doesn't fully capture my experience, but when it comes down to it, you really can't go wrong booking this place.

Everything went well, Stephanie was there to help whenever needed, accommodations were everything you need & nothing you don't. It's "glamping" so you need your warm sleeping gear and bring stove, pots & cooking supplies. Views were great, cabin was great for two, need to find room for cots with four folks, but do-able. Great experience overall.

The Milky Way

Had a beautiful time at the Dead-themed Grateful Acres. Stephanie is a stellar host. Warm and helpful and great with communication. The cabin (Sunshine) is cute and the simple thoughtful touches and amenities were appreciated. The sky was so clear, I could see the milky way. In all my living days in Vermont, I have never seen such a beautiful star-filled sky. There was something beautiful about the way the camp is sited on a high meadow, and the way the light of the setting sun spread across the wildflowers and fields. I was here on Labor Day weekend and while the day was warm, the night was clear and crisp, so make sure you have warmth for possible cold nights. Enjoy your time, and make sure to enjoy a dip at nearby Somerset Reservoir.

Once again, we've had a great stay at Grateful Acres! Both nights of our stay this time saw the campground fully booked but the hosts ensure a quiet, respectful stay. As always the camp store had all we needed; fire wood was plentiful; the cabin, grounds, and outhouses/portapotty were all exceptionally clean and well maintained. We love the depth of silence and rest found on this fully off-grid campground tucked into the beautiful Vermont forest! 🥰

Mars Hotel Tent

The tent was great! So nice to be off the ground and in a comfortable bed. The scenery is serene and soo relaxing. The campsite is extremely accommodating. It's just great place to chill, the grounds are beautiful with wildflowers and mowed paths. The hostess was very kind.

Heart of the White Mountains!

What a beautiful place! Large meadows surrounded by hills. Stephanie was so helpful. Especially when I forgot what site I was booked at! The grounds are well kept. Sites are separated but still close enough to bathroom if needed. Spectacular view from site 2. Only 1 person was there the night we stayed so it was very very peaceful and quiet. I highly recommend! Firewood was a little green and hard to burn but I doubt that's the case all the time. Huge sky so I'll be back on a clear night. You are quite far from light pollution. Stars would be amazing!

It’s nice and secluded. Was perfect for our two dogs. The cabin was clean and they supplied us with a lantern which came in handy in the cabin. The outhouse was clean too. The hosts answered our questions and was there if we needed anything. We were there for 5 days and the no showers were a little inconvenient, but we found public showers that were a half hour drive and stopped there after going out on hikes. Overall it was a perfect “off grid” vacation.

Stephanie is a super host; easy to communicate, very kind, and responded fast at any question I had. The location is absolutely beautiful, clean, spacious and with an incredible view. So we had a great time the only thing is it was just us the only ones there and the fact we were greeted by skeletons made us both laugh. It was relaxing and quite lovely, yet it would have been nice to have met with the hosts.

Stephanie was an amazing host! She was super kind and laid back. My group and I would definitely come back! The night sky is beautiful to the point you can see the Milky Way, the close by reservoir was amazing to swim in, and the paths through the field on site made for a beautiful sunset stroll. Can’t recommend this sight enough!

We stayed in the Mars Hotel because of chances of rain. This was the best decision we could of made! It was clean and the bed was REALLY comfortable. We had our own porta potty that was spotless! From the moment we pulled in my shoulders dropped. It is SO peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful. I love the pet friendly atmosphere. I wish we could stayed longer. The only thing I recommend is to bring some bug spray. You can tell Stephanie loves this land, put effort into it and it shows. She has wonderful energy and so does her land. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Stargazing Paradise

We stayed in the Sunshine cabin and it exceeding what I expected for a rustic cabin. Stephanie added so many functional and Grateful Dead related items! As a long time head and aspiring homesteader Grateful Acres was the perfect fit for me. The site were spacious and have grills, firepits and hammock stands (hammock provided). My goal was to watch the Persieds and see the milky way away from the light pollution and this place was perfect for it! The property practices wildlife preservation which is the cherry on top for me! I'll be back for sure!

Awesome VT Weeken

We had an amazing time and it was absolutely beautiful there!! Everyone was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Noah even helped us start a fire on our last night there, the scenery is so beautiful and the cabin was perfect, I cant wait to come back!! If you forget or need anything, Noah’s got plenty of items for purchase

Mars Hotel Tent

Very excited to go back. Very clean and organized. Has everything you might need. Had two different grills, chairs, cots, and some pans. Most places don't have any camping items. I was able to contact the host with any questions and received a response quickly. We were very pleased and look forward to next time.

We had such a great time staying at Grateful Acres. We came in late from a concert, had an easy time finding our site, and were delighted with a wonderful view in the morning! Clean facilities and a generous campsite. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
