Tucked away on Sequatchie Mountain, this little campground and hostel invites you to experience some of East Tennessee's best parks for climbing and hiking. Cliffs and waterfalls are minutes away at near by Foster Falls, Denny Cove and Castle Rock. The hostel offers 3 bedrooms, fast internet, complete kitchen, comfortable beds, smart TV, fire pit, and laundry. The campground offers dispersed sites with fire pits and picnic tables, as well as clean bathrooms and a communal barn with a microwave, fridge, games, tables and chairs. You can walk our 22 acres and even take a short hike out to our bluff. Make sure to say "Hi" to our chickens and our barn cat, Strawberry, on the way. Add in the view of the stars and that makes this the perfect basecamp after a long day out.

Tucked away on Sequatchie Mountain, this little campground invites you to experience some of East Tennessee's best parks for climbing and hiking. Cliffs and waterfalls are minutes away at near by Foster Falls, Denny Cove and Castle Rock.  The campground offers dispersed sites with fire pits and picnic tables, a communal barn with a microwave, fridge, and games. Clean portable toilets and a dishwashing station. You can walk our 22 acres and even take a short hike out to our bluff. Make sure to say "Hi" to our chickens and our barn cat, Strawberry, on the way. Add in the view of the stars and that makes this the perfect basecamp after a long day out. Dispersed camping is $10 / person / night Please note the shower is not available during winter months due to freezing temperatures.

This building was re-crafted to create a modern Appalachian basecamp with a minimalist and functional design. Inside you will find both modern and reclaimed furnishings that are true to the place and time.  Make a campfire and share some s'mores (tip: look up at the stars!), or cuddle up to watch Netflix on the couch. Either way, we created this place for you to get away.  Rooms are stocked with fresh linens and towels (and some complimentary water bottles and snacks), the kitchen has coffee and tea waiting to be made, and there's a small "corner market" with a few snack and meal options to purchase.  You can walk the 22 acres and even take a short hike out to our bluff. If you're seeking solitude, stunning views, and a rustic yet comfortable escape, our small private cabin is the perfect destination. Please keep in mind that this cabin is designed for those seeking a rustic and secluded retreat. If you're looking for more amenities or a traditional bathroom with a shower, check out our other listings on the property! The cabin is truly an off grid retreat into nature with an incredible mountain vista. The interior of the cabin is comfortable for two with a live edge cedar table, full bed with a memory foam mattress, and an air conditioner for warmer days. Step outside to the covered outdoor kitchen, fully equipped with a gas stove, mini fridge, sink and essential cooking supplies. As evening falls, gather around a campfire and take in the cliffside stargazing. Power is no issue; the cabin runs on a robust battery bank charged by a gas generator. Simply push a few buttons for electricity. For nature's call, discover the thoughtfully designed composting toilet/outhouse with a mountain view! There's an outdoor shower at the front of the property with hot water. Additional guests are welcome to camp for a fee. Please note the shower is not available during the winter months due to freezing temperatures.

Luxurious amenities, beautiful plot

Fireside's hosts haven't just made sites available to campers, they have created a full camping experience with amenities only found at the most luxurious campgrounds, including a large field with your choice of location, a well-maintained porta-potty, a community barn with refrigerators, microwaves, games and couches; and one of the nicest rustic shower houses I have ever had the pleasure of using. While this property is located well into the hilly Tennessee terrain, finding a level pad for your tent or RV is not a problem. There are plenty of picnic tables and fire rings available, and you can choose to be in an open area or nestled into a thick canopy of trees. Being early in the season, we had almost the entire place to ourselves and opted to stay close to the shower house, which turned out to be one of the greatest highlights of the stay. On a chilly evening and going three days without a bath, a hot shower in a beautifully handcrafted shower house was such a joy, I had to use it a second time before we left. Less than 10 minutes away is the massive and breathtaking Fiery Gizzard State Park, which kept us busy for days and we barely scratched the surface of all it had to offer. Although the occasional jake brake will cut the silence of the night, there are no major freeways nearby, so you can expect a quiet experience, especially if you come in the off-season.

It's a good spot to use as a landing place. It's not super private but I didn't feel bothered by the people there. I tried to be quiet so they felt the same! Can't beat the price. The host is very accomodating and answers all questions. They also have a cabin I have stayed at in a dofferent part of the property and they were helpful with that as well.

The property is beautiful. Had a great time and am very thankful for all of the helpful amenities included (clean port-a-potty, communal barn, picnic tables, etc.). There was a dog and a cat who visited us a few times throughout our stay, both very affectionate and sweet. Overall a 10/10 experience.

I loved the property and the peace and the people were wonderful too!!!! The only downside is, if you are tent camping during the winter there is no outside water source or no shower because the water is off during the winter outside.

Was easy to find and level for our 18ft camper. Would have been nice if the grass was cut. 3 or 4 other campers on sites there and all was good. Free pac man was fun but pool barn could be a bit cleaner. Had a fire in the provided fire pit. John

Great option for those who want an unassisted or supplied camping trip. Barn with cooking materials and games was an awesome resource. I went alone with my dog to test out my new converted van. Amazing option. I also had to reschedule due to some travel issues and host was very accommodating.

LOVED this campsite! As soon as we showed up we added another night lol We have been on the road for about 2 weeks and it was one of my favorite stops. We’re traveling in a 23ft converted school bus and had zero problems finding the property and picking a spot. The property is beautiful and comes with some great amenities including water fill up :) would for sure stay again!

This space was absolutely perfect for hosting my friends and I for tent camping! The ability to put food in their fridge was big help. The site is close to beautiful waterfall hiking trails (less than 10 minutes away from trailheads) so we didn't have to go far to enjoy nature. The port-a-potty/shower facilities are nothing fancy but available and for a night, were perfectly sufficient. Would recommend and utilize again!

Off the beaten path and just a few miles from the state park. Open field area, we had our pick of any site with a fire ring. We enjoyed a fire each night and were present for the Beaver Moon. Outdoor shower with hot water was appreciated after we used up all our fresh water.

Parked my truck camper in the grass and had a very peaceful night. Big area with a few other campers but lots of room for people to spread out. Not noisy at all and great conversation with other campers! Great covered area with a fridge and games. Would definitely stay here again.

GREAT experience. The description, pictures, listing was 100% accurate and there were no unpleasant surprises. The land is beautiful, there are no bad camping spots, plenty of room to spread out, and the site itself is well situated compared to other outdoor activities. Bathroom situation could be improved but that was to be expected based on the info in the listing.

When all the commercial campsites were booked, Nick’s land was still open. And I’d argue it was a much better, less crowded experience. The kids especially loved the bowling pins & air hockey table under the shelter. I’d definitely come back here.

I loved the fire pits and picnic tables. The covered shared space is fantastic! I would give more love to the hang board area, but its a great start. Room for yoga or whatever in there. $6 builds a single descent campfire.

We were traveling with friends with 2 travel trailers, a 17’ & 22’ and we absolutely loved Fireside Camp. The camp had plenty of room, well kept and convenient to many hikes in the area. Nick was very helpful in recommending areas to explore and places to eat if you wanted a break and go out. We would definitely stay there again!

A very nice 5 star Hipcamp. Peaceful and close to some amazing hikes., We spent a week here. Nick and Sydney have the nicest outdoor shower we have ever seen. Great conveniences for tent campers with a fridge and cooking equipment in the common pole barn. It was a treat staying here.

I tent camped over a weekend and a couple weekdays. The place is extremely nice and there is a pavilion area with some games, a fridge, microwave, and power outlets. There are also porta-potties for the bathrooms but they were always quite clean. The only negative was dogs on the property next door. They are a bunch of them and they would sometimes randomly decide to start howling for 30 mins at a time. I suspect if you stayed near the front of the property this wouldn’t have been as loud. I didn’t mind since I have earplugs for sleeping. Overall, great place, great amenities!

This camp was great! The big/clean outdoor shower was a highlight! Also, being only 5 mins away from Foster Falls main parking lot was really nice. The only drawback was all the neighbor dogs barking late into the night and the roosters crowing at 5 AM, so just bring your white noise machines and it’s not an issue. Arrive early to make sure you get a site with a fire pit. 10/10 would recommend and will be back soon.
