I’m very disappointed with this farm camping experience. When I arrived, there was no one on site at all, and I had no idea where my campsite was. Eventually I saw a small sign and guessed it might be a patch of grass by the roadside, which didn’t feel appropriate or safe.
I also couldn’t find the bathroom or kitchen facilities anywhere. When I made the booking, I was under the impression that powered sites were available, but there was no clear access or information about this.
I tried calling the host multiple times but couldn’t reach anyone. After sending several messages, I eventually received a reply saying they were out for the day, which wasn’t helpful given the situation.
Overall, the place felt very unsafe and poorly managed. I ended up leaving before it got dark. I honestly can’t imagine staying there overnight, especially with my 14-year-old daughter. This experience was extremely disappointing.

A beautiful quiet campsite in a 'private' paddock on the edge of their farm. Plenty of space between fellow campers. While a bit of a walk the amenities are very clean and tidy. And the view of Mt Roland is beautiful, great sunsets

OMG what a stunning location absolutely gorgeous the view of Mt Roland is incredible.
Showers and toilets are a bonus and the walk thru the property to get to them is very pretty.

Peaceful rural setting with views of Mount Roland, scenic (6 min) walk tobathroom, clean hot shower, 10 min drive to Sheffield for an excellent pub meal, 25 mins to Spirit of Tasmania.

Really enjoyed my stay on Marleen & Ronald farm, and both were very friendly and approachable. Was great that I had freedom to camp where I wanted to, and really enjoyed the peace and quiet there. The bathroom was very clean with a modern toilet, shower and washing machine, although water pressure when showering sometimes has problems, I would definitely stay again!

I loved camping at Marleens place! Awesome views of the surrounding area, lovely facilities that are a bit of a walk from the campsite but allow you to explore the farm a bit, very nice and welcoming host and Benny the dog was adorable! If we're back in the area we'll 100% be back at Marleens place.

I spent my first night in Tasmania here and was so glad I decided to drive a bit after arriving on the ferry instead of staying near the port. Very quiet, beautiful views, flush toilets, and a hot shower, what more could you ask for!

One of the most beautiful camping spots I’ve ever stayed at. The views are absolutely incredible and make the experience truly special. The bathroom was spotless and even equipped with a washing machine, which was a huge plus. On top of that, the owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Lovely, quiet, peaceful serenity with magnificent views of Mount Roland and the lavender. Clean bathroom, toilet and shower. If you have difficulties with mobility this is not a place you should stay, as stated in the advert the walk to the toilet is some distance and uphill. Marleen and Roland were lovely hosts. Thank you

Such a beautiful spot with mountains in the distance from the campsite. Bathroom was fantastic and it is a great distance from devonport. If anything refresh the signs so they are easier to spot :)

The property was hard to find - the HiCamp sign was very faded. I chose this site because it said "toilet and shower accessible": to access the facilities there was an uphill walk through a muddy building site and down through a paddock. I am 75 years old and this was not suitable for me. However, the toilet and shower were very clean, warm and dry. The owner did find me an alternate site close to the amenities.
The following morning, after a very windy night, I found my solar unit had blown up off the roof of my van falling down over the windscreen. The owner of the site very kindly fixed the problem for me, even putting in 2 new screws to stop it happening again. Did not come up to expectations from reading the HiCamp description prior to booking, but would suit younger campers.

Was amazing staying here!! Met Marleen and Ronald and they were lovely with a cute puppy!
Had amazing facilities (I did struggle to find the bathroom - but I think that’s a me thing)
Even left me home grown mandarins in the bathroom which I had for breakfast!

great camping spot! with a nice clean toilet and hot shower, only a short walk away. there is a stunning view of cradle mountain from the site as well!! super quiet and private with little to no traffic through the road, would recommend! they also have a little honesty shelf near the bathroom, with products from the herb farm! super cute

The site was great, host was lovely and easy to deal with. Eggs and apples supplied for the guests was a nice touch. The only downside was cost, I didn’t realise when I first started the booking that the cost is per person and not per couple, which made it by far the most expensive non caravan park site that we’ve stayed at. $26 per couple is what I consider the norm for a paddock I would expect way more for $52.

This was our favourite campsite close to Barrington Lakes. The view was phenomenal. If we didn't have to recharge and dump our tanks every few days, we would have set up permanently, but I have no issue recharging when you get the stunning view without the crowds.

i absolutely loved the campsite. The field had a beautiful vista of farmland with a spectacular mountain backdrop. As the mist cleared in the morning the mountain appeared. The bathroom was a walk through an array of ordered shrubs and trees. It was clean, and generously offered apples and eggs for free. Marlene and her dog were very welcoming. Highly recommend!!

Loved it, all the great reviews are right! Brilliant view, quiet, amazing proper bathroom with shower and loo, plus a little room to sit and read. Hosts are lovely to chat to and the whole place full of charm and good vibes.

Maleen and Ronald's hospitality was outstanding. They were happy to tell you all about their herb farm and what they were doing.
Facilities were fantastic and very clean.
Great place to stay, a few minutes out of lovely Sheffield.

A quiet spot with a great view, I somehow lucked out and got the place to myself! The directions were easy to follow, yes the bathroom is a walk away from the site but it is lovely and clean.
Also managed to see a stunning sunset and later the Aurora while I was there. Myself and my furry friend will definitely be back!
