Agua de Vida

I was so excited to camp here, but we hit a few roadblocks. When we arrived someone was in Outback, our campsite, so we called the host. She apologized for double booking and moved us to another site, Overview. A few hours later someone who had booked Overview showed up only to find we were in her campsite. Fortunately, the host was able to find a site for her. We understand that these things happen, but we decided to leave after our first night and find another campground for our second night. We couldn’t access Wi-Fi, nor could we find the trash can or the hiking trails. We should have called the host to ask more questions, so I take responsibility for that. The reviews of the property are amazing, so we think our experience was an outlier. I think I chose the wrong site, so that’s also on me. The top sites are close together and while we were there the other two sites were occupied by longer term campers. I’m sure we would have been happier down below, where it seems the sites were more picturesque. I do have a couple of suggestions. I was swayed by the photos of the property which showed a lovely scene that looked nothing like the site where we were. It would also be helpful to include more information about trails, petroglyphs, etc. We didn’t feel comfortable driving or walking down the hill because we weren’t sure what was there.

UpperEdge RV Site

This land is beautiful, and they have diverse options for RV camping. Brenda was really responsive, and if you’re not sure which site is best for you, consider messaging her for guidance. As others have noted, it is close to the highway, so there’s a little road noise, but it is also refreshingly easy to access. Great sites, great host.

Peaceful and Gorgeous Camping!!

Agua de Vida was lovely! Gorgeous lakeside view at The Avenue! We had a tiny bit if trouble with the electric, but Brenda and her husband were so accommodating and quick to fix the issue - truly a lovely stay! Would happily stay there again. Our dog was also in love with their puppy, Pepper🏕️

The site has a great view, and the hosts are very helpful. We enjoyed exploring the property and learning about the Native American ruins. I found our stay very peaceful and would like to camp there again. Bathrooms and shower were a plus.

Nice, shady and roomy location under a cottonwood tree. Flat locations for tents. Picnic table. The Host made sure quickly we had electricity after monsoon storm one night. Clean bathhouse! Trails, a pond, a Muscovy duck, chickens, and two lovely guard dogs.

Beautiful area, , with full hook up’s. There were two large dogs running loose, luckily they were friendly. We have two small dogs so that was just a bit of a draw back for me. The owner was able to call them back which was nice.

A gravel, road takes one through a short distance through the locked gate and into Agua de Vida campground as well as the owner's residence . We stayed in a level RV spot, picnic table included, and had easy access to Pecos National Historic Park and Pecos Canyon State Park. We especially enjoyed the many birds in residence (I mean the wild ones, but there are also peacocks, chickens, and at least one duck) as well as Brenda's two friendly dogs. There's a cute bathroom - water pressure in shower minimal but does get one clean. It was a great weekend!

Loved it!

The land and views were stunning. Directions to get there were detailed and clear (although I entered the coordinates into Apple Maps and they took us right to the gate, I used Brenda’s instructions just in case). The stars at night were amazing - so clear we could see the Milky Way. Lots of birds, and friendly dogs that we loved to pet and accompanied us on a couple of walks (if anyone finds a black tennis shoe, it’s my husband’s. Heed the warning about leaving them outside at night! He did, but one fell off the top of our trailer and was never seen again -lol - a small price to pay.) It IS rustic-ish, but while I know there were others around (heard some snoring and saw some other vehicles as I overshot the bath house as I made a late night bathroom run) nobody was near our site -Open Sky - and it felt like we had the mountaintop to ourselves. Brenda was responsive to a couple of questions that came up. It was a fun stay!

This is a hidden jewel off the beaten path, but very much worth finding. The campsites were lovely, you could choose sunny or shaded, and there are options for everything from tents to trailers. Nicely appointed bathhouse. And stunning dark skies at night! You could see the Milky Way!

Brenda's place was wonderful. I had the place to myself and privacy, but yet support if I needed it. Loved the pets. Get me company out in my tent. Enjoye pooches hanging out with me and the pond was awesome ! The convenience and experience of showering in 'the bathhouse' was way cool. The light and the privacy was wonderful. Very easy to get to and a very secure area. I'd go there again in a heartbeat! Thanks Brenda

Very secluded and quiet. Be sure to read the host's messages as you really need the instructions about how to get into the site. One nice bathroom and one nice shower that are a short walk away at the bathhouse. The host was very helpful .

The site was lovely. It was quiet and beautiful. We enjoyed the resident dogs who barked a bit at our dogs but caused us no trouble whatsoever. The bathhouse was clean and nice. Hosts were kind and responsive. Our dogs and disabled goat enjoyed this spot for relaxing when we weren’t hiking and exploring the Santa Fe area.
