Spring Lake Ranch boasts countless trails and lake activities. Formerly known as Sayersbrook Bison ranch, at one time it was one of the largest Bison ranches in the world. This property is filled with amazing things to see and explore. Nothing like it in Missouri. Lake is 60+ acres and is spring fed. Amazing fishing, swimming and kayaking. We are pet friendly. You will have amazing lake views and will be close to hiking trails, horseback riding, and wine tasting at Edge Cliff Wineries which is next door to us. The beautiful shower house is super clean, has restrooms and hot showers and it is within walking distance. Firewood and ice are available to purchase; kayaks and fishing poles are available for rent. If you forget something at home stop by our little country store, we might have it! :) The sites are about 20 ft from each other - if you are looking for more privacy please check out the secluded site or the peninsula. **The pool on property is reserved for the lodge guests only, it is not open to the public.

We loved staying on the secluded peninsula! The spot was so relaxing, loved being on the water and not too close to other campers but an easy walk to the shower house if you need to. Easy check in, kayak around the lake was lovely. We did hike the red trail which was not as maintained as I would expect for a marked trail. Overall though a very lovely and relaxing stay.

It was great ! Very peaceful. I stayed for three nights and enjoyed every minute. Very beautiful lake that is spring fed and feels very relaxing!!! The restroom was very clean and air conditioned. Campsites were nice . The only thing I didn’t like was how close together the sites are but I went on a weekend that no one was really there so it wasn’t a big deal . I’m planning to take another trip here soon because I bet it’s beautiful during fall season!!! The guy at the store was also very nice and helpful ! I will return !!

3rd Trip!!

3rd time coming here, and another great trip in the books! We come with a group of friends and stay in the RV sites, and honestly, we don’t have much negative to say. Some of the sites are on the smaller side, but you can definitely make them work. Our site was listed with a 24’ max, but our 30’ camper fit with no issues. We did have to use an extension for the sewer connection, but it worked great nonetheless. They have a great lake with easy swimming access, and the whole place is quiet, relaxing, and a great spot to unwind. We’ll definitely be back!

Secluded site 2

The whole ranch itself was absolutely beautiful. The bath house was well kept and the host was very polite and helpful. Only issue I had which wasn't a bad one really, was getting the secluded site 2. It was described correctly, the pictures not so much, but I did walk to look at the other secluded sites and they were better kept. Ours had a partially cut down tree we had to remove ourselves and had trash everywhere. We would have complained, but changing sites would have been worse on the truck because of the steep washed out road. The bridges were a little scary but loved seeing all the goats! They were soo cute! I'd give it 5 stars if I didn't think what I got was worth the price. It wasn't. Those sites should be allot cheaper. Realizing I could have spent 15 more a night and gotten a tree house instead, I totally would have. But that was my fault I guess.

Because of the weather, we ultimately didn't overnight tent camp. But we did spend Saturday at the secluded peninsula and paddled on the lake with our dog. The goats were super cute and the lake was nice.

We love Spring Lake Ranch! We have been just my husband and I, and came back with the kids. We want to come with even more family next time :) it’s beautiful, many options for camping/lodging, peaceful when we go during the week (haven’t been over the weekend) I love having a spot right by the water so we can enjoy fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle board, watching the sunset, and finding driftwood to burn from the lakeshore.

Grounds are not kept up, road in is horrible. Campsites, grass and weeds over a foot high. Awful, nothing like the pics, not shaded or mowed. Also quiet hours at 10pm We were told just after 9 pm to keep noise down, voices and music. Won’t be going back To improve

The grounds are not kept up at all, grass and weeds are at least a foot tall. The so called beach by the lake, very small. Campground is nothing like the pictures on line. Definitely false advertising at its best. The picture of our 2 sites showed they were shaded and well kept they were not. Very disappointed in this campground. The highlight of our trip was EDGE CLIF WINERY. Absolutely beautiful place and the wine and Sangrias were amazing. Big shout out to our wonderful host. Definitely visiting the winery again.

We had a great stay at Spring Lake Ranch in one of the primitive campsites on the peninsula. The campground has a nostalgic, old-school charm that made for a relaxing weekend. The sites were spacious and spread out enough to feel private, and it was a peaceful place to unwind. The lake was nice to have nearby, and we enjoyed seeing the goats wandering around the property adjacent to us. The staff was friendly, and everything we needed was easy to find. If you’re looking for a quiet camping trip with a retro atmosphere rather than a luxury campground, this is a great option. The owners were friendly and laid-back while also being accommodating to things we needed. It was nice to have the general store on site for basic needs like firewood, ice, and small food items. We’ll definitely consider coming back for another camping weekend.

I only stayed a few hours and then left. Dogs are aloud, but once I got there they had signs up saying no dogs on beach, bath house etc. I was alone with just my dog, so I couldn’t do anything but sit at my tent.

Beautiful campground but beware

The lake was beautiful and the campground, overall, was great! However, the pull through RV sites were lacking overall, as ours (site 1) was rocky, narrow and uneven. The road in to the campground was NOT conducive to campers due to it being so narrow, rough and having so many low hanging branches. AND they mean it when they say follow GOOGLE MAPS only - we thought our truck used google maps, but it does not and we ended up at the end of a 5 mile road/path in an abandoned farmer's field. I'd still recommend the place to friends, but likely more for the treehouses - which lookd amazing!

I read others reviews so I was optimistic. Some talk of trash and cleaning up after others which is true. Some broken glass, polystyrene plates floating around.. We also weren’t expecting the ranch dogs to be around so much. They would show up at random times and unsettle our dog, then take a big dump. There are large dog poops all over which is a bit gross. Owner kindly has mosquito and fly traps hidden in trees. Without them I’m sure things would be way worse. There were a lot of flies because the horses are very close by. I would think sites 7 & 8 would be better locations as they are further away from the large dumpster. Dumpsters work well if you keep the lids closed so animals and insects don’t have a field day. The dumpster lids remain wide open. Yes the road to and from the ranch is one lane at times which is fine. Some pot holes to maneuver though so go slow. Check-in is not with a live person. Follow QR codes and written instructions. I don’t think we will be back because of the random dogs and poop.

We had an amazing time this weekend! My kids loved seeing the animals, playing at the playground and swimming in the lake. We paddle boarded and fished. It is a nice and quiet area and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

We love the lake and animals that you see as you drive in. The road could use some work and the rv sites need better maintenance and description on the website. Site 1 specifically faces site 2 (front door faces the other sites front door) that was not so peaceful. That site was so close their dogs were at our steps to the camper. As we were packing up our electric box stopped working and I called the camp host with no help on resolving the issue. No one even came to the site. We had to hook up and back up to use another sites electric in order to close our slides.

Loved this place! We went tent camping and it rained the whole time but the tree canopy was enough to keep us (mostly) dry. The lake was beautiful and a perfect temperature for swimming. Caught a lot of fish off the dock but none were keepers. Sunsets were incredible

Everything was fabulous. The site was slightly off the beaten path, romantical, and very well tended. We had a lovely view of the lake, and we really enjoyed being able to throw a line in the water within seconds of deciding so. The trails were such a lovely perk, and we could not stop cracking up about the goat crossings near us, just through the trees. The bathrooms/showers were very clean, and the country store had so much more than I anticipated. It was also suuuuper convenient that we could buy firewood reliably on site. The overall atmosphere was very comfortable and welcoming. I couldn't have asked more, honestly. 11/10 would stay again

The host was very kind during check-in and each time we went to the general store. I loved how close the park and bathrooms were to our site. Our kids were able to have some freedom but still be in sight. We camped right in the water and waking up to that view was unmatched. The bathrooms were very clean, well lit, and well kept. Best camping bathrooms I've seen. We saw 2 sets of geese and 8 goslings, and eagle that visited both mornings. We also rented a canoe and went out on the water. Overall, we would come back!
