Easy access to spot near the gated entrance. Plenty of privacy, but more road noise than expected. Owner was very friendly, but gave us complete privacy once we got in.

Great little place to camp if you are in the area. Stay on the back 40 acres so you are away from everything. Two miles down the road is a great little restaurant called H. D. Gibbes, you must check it out. Mark was very responsive and showed us a few spots that we could setup, and then he gave us our privacy.

I loved tent camping on Mark’s land! It was absolutely gorgeous and he was so hospitable and welcoming.
It was a much needed time away. Would definitely recommend!!

Beautiful scenery at a family farm

The place was exactly as the pictures. It was idyllic and very close to the Natchez trace parkway. We had a pond view and we saw the donkeys and the cows. The hosts gave us very good instructions and were prompt to answer and brought us firewood right when we got there. We did a farm tour in the morning with our young children and it was fantastic. Mark the owner took us around and showed us all. We will definitely recommend.

MS private camping spot. Wide open… pet friendly place! Thank goodness for this place. It met our needs as we traveled across the country with all our furry family members. Lovely sunrise!

All around amazing place to stay. Friendly animals running around and spectacular scenery- I had no idea that Mississippi could be so beautiful. But most importantly, mark was hands down the best body we ever had. We came in late, hoping to cook over a fire, and unaware that the county had a burn ban in effect. Mark and his family brought out an extra grill and some supplies, and got us access to fresh water. They both gave us all the privacy we needed while going to great expense to make sure we didn't go to bed hungry. I can't wait to stay here again!

I called the owner of the (pre-paid) gated property upon arrival, but no answer and no message on the answering machine to indicate where he was, when he might call back, or how to proceed. Knowing nothing, my choice was to sit in my truck on a 90-degree afternoon and hope for a return call at some point, or move on to an alternate camping site. I did the latter, only to receive a return call from the owner an hour later when I was well down the road and committed to the alternate site.

As a single female traveler, I was looking for a quiet place to feel safe and secure while on the road. I couldn’t figure out the address at first, it wasn’t initially provided and the gate key was wrong. The host didn’t necessarily help me to feel welcome. It seemed like he was annoyed I was there. The dogs were barking if I made any sounds and in the morning they snarled and growled and circled me if in a scary way.

I tent camped on Mark's land for two nights. The first evening, he and his wife stopped by to check on me and see if I needed anything. They gave me the run of the property and I spent the next day exploring the back of the farm and meeting a few of the animals. The farm and animals are well tended to and it was easy to get around... I just had to climb a couple fences. :) I was treat to a foggy sunrise the first morning and some beautiful clouds the second morning. I would definitely camp at Patch of Heaven again!!

Great tent camping spot. Rolling grass hills with great views of the night sky. Got to watch Jupiter move across the sky. Mark was kind and helped us find the land. The campsites were well maintained and well marked. Got to see the belted Galloway cows in the morning.

We had trouble finding the place. Sometimes something happens what you can’t control. Mark lost his phone and could not send us the specific address. If you have this information it is a lot easier. He is a great guy and apologized not once but a I think 12 times. The spot is very nice and he is also a Harvest host. Different style as Hipcamp. The view is nice and there is enough space for everyone.

Mark is a wonderful host. Shower is a nice spot that we could watch the moon rise and the sun rise. Absolutely a gorgeous area full of open field with rolling hills. Friendly cows and pigs walked the land where we had camped. We can’t wait to come back for another visit.

Nice spot for a quick camping trip! The whole family was very kind to us, and we had a good time walking around the property and saying hi to the cows and pigs. Got there after dark with not too much trouble. Pretty remote but close enough to a town for access to basic necessities. Our second night was really clear, and the stars were amazing!

Beautiful level site overlooking fields for my pickup truck bed cap camper. Quiet, really nice. Mark super helpful w my late afternoon book. Arrived at dusk and was at my spot in minutes. Had to bolt early, so couldn’t enjoy the surroundings, but I hope I can make it back under more relaxed timing. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay at Marks property. He was an excellent host and had a firewood bundle waiting at our campsite when we arrived. The gps coordinates are not very accurate, but Mark has detailed written directions to help you find where you need to go. Be sure to read those carefully. We camped here in mid October and experienced ideal camping temperatures, and a clear night optimal for stargazers. Be sure to hike the fence line and visit all of the friendly farm animals! Mark gave us a good lay of the land when we arrived and we had optimal privacy. 10/10 would stay here again!

Mark did a great job hosting throughout, from his patience (we were a bit late) and specific directions, to the morning we left. The scenery is gorgeous, especially by fire light. Waking up to the cows was a lovely opportunity to get a bit closer to nature. A fantastic overnight camping experience for family, solo travelers , and couples!

Great experience! Patch of Heaven is in an ideal location with great views. I stayed here for one night on a trip from SC to TX. Mark was awesome. He met me at the gate and showed me to my camping spot. It was so beautiful and a peaceful place to camp for the night. I had access to water, which is a must for me. The only "noise" was the beautiful sounds of nature. I will definitely book again!

Great spot, very easy to park my van and camp for the night. Mark waited at the driveway for me to make sure I found the place. Hipcamp gives a weird gps coordinate which it seems they have numerous issues with giving directions so no fault of the host here. It was easy to communicate with him and his wife and get it figured out so if you camp here, talk with them first to get the right address. Also got some great locally raised meat and eggs from Mark for a good deal. I recommend this place.
