Willows Farm is a beautiful 165-acre, regenerative cattle farm, raising 100% grass-finished beef and high-quality hay. Our farm is family-owned and -operated, and is located in the beautiful rolling hills of northeast Frederick County in Union Bridge, Maryland, just off Route 75 on a quiet, country road. Please note the farm entrance address is 11935 Simpsons Mill Road, Keymar, MD, but the farm is technically located in Union Bridge. Enjoy the peace and quiet of nature and relax near the campfire with your wood-fired dinner. This site has electric and water hookups, and firewood is available for a small fee. The campsite is situated at the highest point of Willows Farm, offering tranquil farm views, gorgeous mountain vistas, and spectacular sunsets. Soak up the beautiful countryside during your stay on the farm and hike our 25 acres of wooded property and chase a few bunnies and spot a herd of deer. Take a brisk walk to the cattle pastures and chat with our curious and friendly Black Angus heifers, Eleni, Lola, and Maggie, then say hi to our horse Albe. All of the fencing at Willows Farm is electric to keep our cattle and horse in, and you will get shocked if you touch it. Please be mindful of this with your pets and children. If you are fortunate enough to have the timing right, you can even watch an airplane take off and land on our farm grass strip, "Willows Landing," which is just to the north (cardinal direction) of the campsite. Just 30 minutes to Gettysburg battlefields, historical downtown Frederick, and many other exciting places for exploration, Willows Farm is a great location for fun! Spend an evening watching bull riding and barrel racing at J Bar W Ranch just a few minutes down the street in Johnsville. If vineyards and breweries are your thing, we are just 15-30 minutes from many fine establishments. A few of our favorites are Black Ankle Vineyards, Linganore Winecellars, and Attaboy Beer. Antique shopping abounds in the nearby charming, little town of New Market. So you're hungry and have a hankering for local cuisine? Take a five minute drive to the quaint downtown of Union Bridge and visit one of the three delicious family-run restaurants. You can even take a few minutes to give your truck a bath at the Union Bridge Car Wash in the middle of town. Enjoy your stay and please contact us if we can help with anything.

We listened to our Hipcamper's requests and now have camping in our woods (aka- Willows in the Woods)! Bring your tent or camper van to Willows in the Woods and enjoy some solitude in nature as you explore our 25 acres of beautiful  secluded forest area of our 165 acre cattle farm at Willows Farm. We do have a fire pit at the campsite. You are welcome to use the fire pit and gather any wood found on the forest ground but please do not take wood from our sawmill area. Firewood is available for purchase. Campsite #2 has easy access just off the main farm drive and is very private. If you would like to cook a Willows Farm 100% grass fed burger or a steak on your fire visit our website [xxxxxxxx] to see what we have to offer. A word of caution -  this area and access to this area can become soft and muddy during wet or rainy times.  Please be mindful of this when planning your visit. While staying at campsite #2 you will have access to our newly built Outhouse (pit toilet). Follow the signs to the Outhouse. Take a relaxing nature walk in the lush forest and spot some wildlife or stroll through the woods to the hay & cattle pastures where you will take in fantastic views of the mountains and meet our friendly cattle. If you are lucky you may even see an airplane take off or land at our air strip "Willows Landing", located just a short distance from the woods. The campsite is super private and large. We’ve been twice now and love it - will probably be back. As a FYI: The toilet is a bit too rugged for us (we brought our own portable one the second time around). I would also recommend bringing your own fire wood - I paid for two bundles the second time we went. There were only 6 logs when we got there and they were a struggle to light. And the host never responded to message that we might need more. Thankfully we had a gas stove with us to cook food. All in all, it’s great for a private chill wooded site.

This our third stay at this location. We love it. Weather was perfect. We stayed up late with our kids to just stare at the stars. The light pollution is so low you can see the milky way. This area will be a place we come back to over and over again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Willow’s Farm! This was the maiden voyage for our new trailer, so we were excited to get out there and start getting the hang of everything. We couldn’t have picked a better spot for our first trip. The site was perfectly level, incredibly peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. We camped with our dog, and she absolutely loved being there- especially getting to see the cows! It was such a relaxing and enjoyable place to camp, and honestly, other Hipcamps are going to have a lot to live up to after this stay! We also loved being able to purchase firewood right on-site- it was such a convenient touch and one less thing we had to pack. We had the chance to meet Curtis during our stay, and he was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We truly loved our time here and will most definitely be back! Willow’s Farm made our first camping trip with our new trailer even more special, and we’re already looking forward to returning.

Willows Farm offers a gorgeous camp setting on an elevated, level spot surrounded by stunning farmland, pastures, cattle and horses. Privacy, clear skies, expansive views with sunrises & sunsets and an awesome fire pit…can’t ask for more. We utilized the water and 20amp electric for our 36’ Class A . Curtis greeted us upon our arrival, it was so great to meet him. Thank you Curtis for sharing your land with us. Would definitely want to stay longer next time!

Beautiful hilltop site! A lovely property with hiking trails and lots of cows and horses:) Great spot with a fire pit and cooking rack, elec and water hookups., plenty of room for us to set up cornhole and for our dog to run on her lead. Curtis was super nice and helpful, would definitely come back!

Peaceful, wide open, beautiful views all around, and secluded. Just the way we like it. Is the only place we ever go when we come to Maryland to visit family. Could not ask for a better host, either, Curtis. Always enjoy visiting with him when we come.

I didn’t know what to expect from a wooded site on a farm, but this site was great! You drive deep into the farm and then into the woods where there’s a large, very private site far from the roads. It was very quiet. Curtis checked in on me after I arrived which I appreciated. The outhouse is new and clean! There’s no picnic table, so bring your own table(s). I camped myself this time and felt safe, but l next time I’ll return with my family and dogs.

Willows in the Woods is a perfect spot for secluded dry camping. Surrounded by trees, the site has lots of room to spread out. Highly recommend ordering from the farms website to cook over a campfire at the site. The steakums were amazing and perfect for dinner. Curtis was very acomodating and it was really nice meeting some of the rest of the family.

I don’t want anyone else to know about Curtis’ AMAZING site so I am hesitant to leave a good review! Seriously, this is the place if you want quiet, solitude, and beauty. The drive in was well marked, and the site was perfect. Plenty of shade, walks past the pastures gave us sun and gorgeous views. We were lucky enough to see the plane take off and experience the cutting of the hay (which smelled fantastic). All of the stars.

Beautiful wooded site. Clean and well maintained. Fabulous places to walk on the edges of the farm where you can see the cows and horses in their pastures. Quiet, peaceful and private. Close to a fun brewery just a few miles away. Will definitely be returning.

Such an amazing spot that I don’t want the secret to get out! The site was perfect, easy to access, level, and the best field mates (cows) welcomed us. Curtis was responsive and helpful & we even saw the airplane coming in for landing which thrilled our toddler. We will absolutely be returning to this site

Beautiful rural views with a great mix of woods and open green pastures. It felt very private and peaceful. The family was super friendly and welcoming, and it was nice hearing about their livestock and life there. Would definitely go back.

Curtis has a great hipcamp. Just stayed at the Willows in the Woods site 2 and my pup and I had great stay. Felt very secluded, had a quiet relaxing getaway. We will be back for sure.

What an amazing site!!! Thank you so much Curtis for being very responsive. This site was private and had plenty of space to spread out. Firewood was readily available, the outhouse was a plus and the drive from Montgomery county was a breeze. I 100% recommend this site to anyone who loves the outdoors and is looking for a beautiful campsite in the woods. We will be coming back real soon.

Plenty of space for us and our two dogs. Lots of fallen tress to choose firewood from. Curtis came by the site to check on us which I thought was nice. Will love to come back in the spring.
