Campo Nopalito

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at The Hideaway glamping tent. The tent was surprisingly roomy and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have a campfire and enjoy looking at the stars and listening to coyotes howling in the distance The whole property is beautiful and well kept. You can tell that Jacob really cares about what he has built. There are lots of comfortable places to gather with friends if you come and stay as a group. The kitchen is fully stocked. And of course we had to try making a fresh pizza in the pizza oven! My friend had car problems so we arrived late but Jacob was so accommodating and even got the firewood ready inside the pizza oven so all we had to do was light it and wait for it to heat up and make our pizza! Thank you for doing that! It was really a nice touch after a stressful situation!

Great local retreat!

We normally go tent camping (a lot of times, at more primitive sites), but decided to give “glamping” a go to celebrate a birthday. Not gonna lie, it was pretty nice having amenities like flushing toilets, an outdoor shower, and an outdoor kitchen (complete with a pizza oven)! The little cabin was cute and cozy and I loved that the wall/roof just opens up to the fresh air - we even slept with it kept open. They are view of the other cabins but it wasn’t that big of a deal and the other camps we encountered were very nice. They have an adorable farm doggo, Gertie, who would make her rounds each morning to say hi and come in for pets and skritches. The farm owner/host, Jacob, was super friendly and helpful and was always responsive to all of our questions/needs. We brought ingredients to make pizza in their pizza oven so Jacob set it up for us, gave us instructions/tips, and just let us try out it for ourselves which was so fun. We messed up the first one but the others turned out great! Just beware that the oven will take about 1.5 hours to heat up so plan for that. We had a great time at Campo Nopalito… It was a peaceful little retreat and we will be back!

The space is amazing- very beautiful/rolling hills. The outdoor shared space is great, and especially the outdoor shower at night was transformative. The cabin was also cozy, bed really comfortable, sheets/pillow nice, and the fact that the A-frame opened up so you could see the stars was incredible. But all that said, I couldn't stay on the property for more than 2 hours because there is a giant power line running right across the property. I'm sensitive to EMF and the emf of a high tension line 100' away is roughly equivalent to 10,000x a wifi router at 100' away. There's nothing they can really do about this other than put emf shielding on the cabins (to make them faraday cages), and my guess is that if you can't feel when you're in a space with active wifi you probably won't notice this either (have friend try turning on/off and see if you can feel difference in a blind test). Wifi is also a higher energy/frequency signal (Ghz) vs. power lines are low frequency (60Hz) but high power. Again, I think they did everything right and the community was great there, but the power lines made it so it couldn't really be in the space for an extended period of time.

We loved camping on Jacob's land. Eureka was very comfortable and the shared amenities really made it easy and enjoyable. The area is beautiful, and we felt really safe being while we were there. We will definitely be going back.

Our Dream Retreat

We had the BEST time on Jacob’s farm! The space was clean and tidy and the communal spaces were so warm and welcoming. This was the much needed retreat spot we were hoping for. We will definitely be back! (huge plus: Jacob’s dog was the sweeeetest girl)

Camping trip with my pup!

I decided on a last minute spur of the moment camping trip with my pup and we loved Campo Nopalito so much! The cute and cozy A shaped cabin, fully stocked kitchen with pizza oven, eating and rest areas, bathroom, and beautiful grassy areas was convenient and perfect for a low effort camping experience. Jacob was very kind and helpful and we’ll definitely be back with pizza ingredients to try out the pizza oven next time.

Nice escape from home

The A frame was a nice cozy experience and the land around was clean, beautiful, and quiet. The fire pit near by gave a really nice ambiance and Jacob was super nice and accommodating. The shared kitchen, eating area, and common place was clean and a really nice homey touch. I can’t wait for the weather to warm up and I will absolutely be back!

Amazing camp getaway

Jacob is super accommodating and just nice all-around! He responded right away whenever I messaged him. When we got there, the Eureka cabin was so cute, and the sun on the porch felt very nice. While it was cold at night during this time, Jacob provided extra blankets for us. We also bought firewood for the firepit in front of the cabin, and pizza oven wood to make pizzas! The outdoor kitchen is STOCKED with more than just basic seasonings and kitchenware. The outdoor shower runs hot water easily and is decently covered. Walking around the land feels very much like a camping outdoor experience. Gertie (their dog) was also very friendly and loved being around us

We were under the impression there was power to the unit. We needed power for medical devices. We had to leave because of this. The host was nice to us because of this.

This is the perfect place for a San Diego getaway! It’s such a gorgeous property and A Frame to stay in. We had an awesome weekend hanging out and reading with the side open and making pizzas in the wood fired oven in the evening. Jacob and his girlfriend were super friendly and helpful, and the fruit we bought with passion fruits and kumquats is the best we’ve had anywhere. Camp dog Gertie is also sweet as can be and followed us around as we walked through the flowers. Would reccomend 11/10 and will definitely be back!

Our time at Nopalito Farm was seriously awesome - Jacob & his partner were incredibly hospitable, the farm was beautiful, and our A-frame was super cute and clean. We got to cook in the wood fire pizza oven which was a blast. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We had an absolutely beautiful time here. My boys, husband and I enjoyed this. Our dogs were happy wondering around. The ambience is calm and the space amazing. The tent and beds were clean. We brought our little camp stove but they have a communal kitchen, bathrooms and lounge area. We are def. coming back again.

So so, so relaxing!

Jacob’s Little Cabin was the perfect first glamping experience. The cabin is just big enough for the fully made comfortable bed, and the wall that opens up like a garage door gives you a stunning view. It truly feels like camping, but with zero stress. Jacob was very kind and helpful without being intrusive, and we loved his dog Gertie — she was playful and even got along great with our dog, who usually doesn’t like other dogs. The kitchen was the highlight, especially the pizza oven. Making our own pizza was such a fun experience. The bathroom was spotless, and he even has an outdoor hot shower. Everything you need is provided — pots, pans, dishes, silverware, drinking water, and seasonings. An easy five-star stay. We’d absolutely come back.

Incredible property and community!

We absolutely loved staying at Campo Napolito. We stayed in the Eureka Casita which is very nice, spacious, and has a lovely minimal interior. The front porch and fire pit out front are amazing. We could have sat out there with our dogs for days. A big star of this property is the kitchen. It is very well equipped with just about anything you could ask for. When we were there, it really felt like a community with everyone gathering in the kitchen and easily sharing the space to cook at the same time. The communal seating areas are also very well done. Jacob was an incredible host and we had a great time talking with him about his property and would love to visit again.

Hilltop Heaven

Beautiful spot, well maintained, and great amenities. Kitchen was practically professional grade and really did have everything you could want/need. Lots of hot water in bathrooms (which was great in December). Hilltop yurt was spacious and clean and the tempurpedic mattresses and down comforter were perfect on those cold rainy days. And the fact it was set on a covered platform really protected us from the worst of the wind and rain.

My partner, Pyro (dog), and myself had a great stay at Jacob's property. We arrived a bit later in the evening due to heavy traffic and it was so nice to get out of the city and just relax. The kitchen area was a great spot to socialize with Jacob and his partner and a couple other guests. The setup is pretty neat and offers privacy from other hip camping guests and has some great views. We stayed in the tent and the beds and bedding were both very comfortable. The nice hot outdoor shower was a bonus to have and Gurtie (farm dog) was also a sweety.

Weekend getaway

The place was awesome and cozy. The sky was so clear for stargazing and the area was so peaceful. Jacob was so awesome and helpful. He made sure we weee very well take care of, brought us lights and an extra blanket so that we could be warm through the night. Will definitely be coming back here!

Absolutely wonderful. Comfortable cabin with plenty of warm blankets, nice and clean bathrooms/shower, fully stocked and highly functional kitchen, all on a stunning plot of the desert. My only regret is not getting to stay longer. If you are considering this, book now...you won't regret it :)

Staying at coyote cabana on nopalito farm was such a great experience. Jacob was very friendly and keeps the land well maintained. The comfort of sleeping on mattresses with warm blankets made our get away so much more comfortable. If you are looking for a casual get away from home and want to enjoy nature, this is the place to stay. The host’s dog Gertie is very friendly and played all day with our dog Loba. Off leash friendly was what stood out to us when booking this location.

Really enjoyed and loved the stay and Noplatio Farms. The Roadrunner site is Seriously such a perfect getaway. Just enough space from the other sites . The host Jacob was great very friendly and attentive. Great place for dogs my little pug just ran all day . He had a blast . Definitely coming back
