You will have access to our beautiful peaceful surroundings, with adequate shelter under some lovely big trees park your camper or pitch a swag. We also have a nice running creek that you can enjoy watching our many wildlife that are present throughout the creek, fish, eels and turtles.
It's truly a very private and relaxing spot to chill out and enjoy camping for a few days or whatever suits your needs while passing the area. Plenty of fantastic swimming holes nearby including Josephine falls and Babinda boulders very popular spots for tourist and the locals.
Site 1 right down on the creek large grass flat space big enough for two families to set up camp. The creek runs around the outside so there are a number of viewing points to see the wildlife mentioned above. A set of solar lights hang over the firepit area allowing for more light while cooking on our wonderful swinging hotplate BBQ.
Site 2 Our newer spot work in progress not so ideal for camper trailers. your situated under our tree line away from the main creek. A smaller paver firepit, plenty fine for sitting around an open fire while watching the stars at night.
Swimming in the creek is not recommended.

Onsite we have our shared outhouse porta toilet which is positioned in the middle of both camping areas for everyone's convenience.

Flaggy Creek Caravan Camp is set on a private 260 acre rural property at the end of an unsealed road surrounded by the peace and serenity of state forest. A highlight is a beautiful permanent creek which meanders its way through the property for approximately 1 km and is habitat to platypus, turtles, an abundance of bird life with towering blue and rose gums. Take a dip on a hot day in one of several water holes including a large lagoon adjacent a mini waterfall surrounded by beautiful she-oaks.
We have 4 available campsites, spread well apart (although visible) all with amazing views.. Maximum occupancy per campsite is 2 guests (of any age). All camp sites have their own fire pit (season permitting). We sell large crates of split firewood for $20 or you can collect your own from the property. Please do not bring firewood onto the property for biosecurity reasons.
If you are traveling with friends and everyone wants to book a site with us we would be delighted to host you but please ensure that you set up your caravan/tent/swag individually at each site noting the maximum occupancy of 2 guests per site.

We are around 30 minutes south of Cairns and there is plenty of great things to see in the surrounding region with national parks, beaches and waterfalls all nearby.
Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure.
Campfires are welcome but please ensure they are kept contained and you respect any fire restrictions in place. Sorry, no pets.

Boonjie is a great place to base yourself to visit the amazing sights in the surrounding area! Our property has beautiful native visitors, including the occasional cassowary, and regular morning choir of ground dwelling chowachillas.
This campsite suits self reliant and self contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and water supply.
Lamins Hill lookout, and the entrances to Windin Falls, and the famous trek up Queensland’s Highest Mountain, are only minutes away. So too, are the Atherton Tablelands‘ crater lakes, Eacham & Barrine, and the small town of Malanda, with its iconic falls, both designated swimming destinations, though, highlights are the clear creeks between there and Boonjie (means mate). This is near “Top Camp”, where First Nations people would arrive after the gruelling walk up the Russel River, from the coast, where Innisfail now stands (Innisfail can be seen from the top road).
With evidence of European and Chinese gold miners, from the 1900’s, this spot is both remote AND central, for a day trip to Millaa Millaa’s extraordinary Falls circuit, Herberton’s Historical Village and the flowered and funky Yungaburra.

We had a fantastic stay despite the rainy weather. Rowan moved us to a different spot in case the rain and road got worse, it was very thoughtful. We had a secluded spot just for us, above the creek, it was a very short walk to a nice swim spot with plenty of shade. We will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a beautiful place near Innisfail

What an amazing little hidden gem, the three campsites are so private, all on the creek and surrounded by nature. Right in the heart of the beautiful rainforest of far North Qld tablelands. So many birds, the weather is so much cooler than the coast and the hosts Alan and Sue are super friendly and make you feel at home on their gorgeous property. Suitable for totally self contained campers. We will definitely be back.

Great site - especially for children! Our preschool aged children enjoyed feeding the chickens and spotting for wildlife at night (though they were too loud to see much!) I was incredibly impressed that there were no mosquitos!!! Shame we only had one night - but it was worth it and the area surrounding is beautiful - stunning waterfalls, and they’re quiet with no other visitors first thing in the morning!

A wonderful camp spot, perfect for those who enjoy lowkey camping or those with kids! A shower and toilet felt like a luxury. Camp fire under the stars with so many beautiful flowers scattered around the gardens. The temperature at this time of year was incredible too, just enough for long sleeve pajamas and sitting by the fire.

A little spot of paradise right here on earth. I felt as though I were wandering the Amazon. Dead white sand, crystal clear water, cool and green, jungly trees reaching across the creek, a place to restore your soul.
Jodie and her dog, Blue, were super friendly. Simply fantastic all round.
