Glacier Basin Campground is one of the most popular places to stay in Rocky Mountain National Park, which should come as no surprise. The hike to Glacier Basin is one of the most stunning treks in the whole park, with an incredible reward at the end. Hint: you’ll be shooting yourself in the foot if you forget your camera. The campground itself is almost equally as picturesque, surrounded by firs, pines and spruce trees, with more than the occasional wildlife visitors. But trust us, you’ll want to get out and do some exploring.

Really liked site 132. It is open, so you have nice views and stargazing. Very nice bathrooms!

Great campground with spacious sites and some of the best views in Rocky Mountain National Park. Take the shuttle to Bear Lake, hike to Beirstadt Lake and come down across the street from the campground at the park and ride.

Great campground with immediate access to more trails than Middle Earth. This place is a dream for hobbits and hikers alike.

Campsites are not very private but the park is fantastic. Check out the Bear Lake trailhead and head up the trail to the three lakes (Nymph, Dream, and Emerald Lakes).
