A Rocky Mountain Glamping Experience!
Enjoy our private mountain getaway in one of two unique, classy, handcrafted Gypsy Wagon Campers, The Shimza and the Sapphira. Towering rock outcroppings surround you in our private Bliss Canyon, the stream lulls you to sleep, the birds serenade you in the morning. Bliss Pond or the Heart Pool will tempt you with a bracing dip in crystal clear waters. Explore the surrounding national forest or kick back and try some fishing or simply relaxing in camp.
The Sapphira is 7’ x 10’ with Dutch door, slide out table, and side benches. Lots of storage cubbies here, too. Solar electricity provides power for lights, electric cooler (provided), and your devices. Time for bed? Slide out platform to convert to full-size bed for 2. There is room under the bed to sleep 1 on a mattress, or your dog. Please check with host.. There is an adjacent tent site for your tent and extra campers if needed for an extra fee.
Relax in your private backyard or head over to the shared outdoor kitchen for your personal meal prep. After your day of adventure or kicking back, enjoy a solar camp shower. Share your revelations of the day around the campfire, roast marshmallows, or relish your favorite beverage or 4:20 treat.
Kitchen has sink, fresh, potable water, kitchenware—pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc--4 burner propane stove, critter-resistant food safe, bear-proof trash can, and picnic tables outside. We provide a convenient propane campfire for safety since our climate is dry and often windy.
There are easy trails on property along the lush stream (the original riverbed of the Middle Saint Vrain Stream), fishing or swimming in the pond (no lifeguard on duty), or challenging trails into Roosevelt National Forest from the property. (Ask Dot for guidance.) Several NF access points, where you can enjoy peaceful walks away from crowds, are a short drive. Bliss Canyon is a spur off of breathtaking South Saint Vrain Canyon. Stroll on over to the South or Middle for renowned fly-fishing. For climbers, there are over 50 noted climbs in the South Saint Vrain Canyon.
Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the five Crown Jewels of the National Park Service, is nearby. The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin National Park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles. Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails. (Advance reservation required for entry 6:00 am to 5:30 pm due to COVID restrictions.)
Indian Peaks Wilderness also has several nearby access points and trailheads and abundant Moose sightings. Ask for details.
Let the world melt away, it will still exist when you return; there is no wifi or cell service. In the event of urgent need, come to our home up the hill and ring the bell.

We lucked into this spot for the Fourth of July, and we couldn’t have been happier that we did. It was short notice, so we wanted something that wouldn’t require us to haul all our gear in. Dot & Byron have thought of everything, so basically all you need to bring is your food.
The campsite is fantastic, even better in person than in the photos. The wagon is cozy inside and has solar electricity,. The kitchen has a gas stove as well as a full selection of pots, pans, and utensils. It overlooks the stream onsite, which makes for really pleasant cooking. There’s also a bear box in the kitchen to keep your food in while you’re away. They’ve strung the kitchen and wagons with solar powered lights, so it’s easy to move around the campsite at night, and adds to the general charms.
For nature, there’s a pond onsite that runs into a stream, with a trail running along the entire site. Dot & Byron both encouraged us to explore, and take a dip in the pond (note: it’s cold! But we did get our feet wet) There’s a hammock and swing chair overlooking the stream. The stream also provides very nice white noise. There is a ton of hiking, climbing, and mountain biking a short drive away as well.
The owners are very friendly and attentive, and made us feel right at home. They’ve done a great job of setting this place up, and anyone who stops through is sure to have a great time. We’ll definitely be back, hopefully with friends!
Excellent stay! Beautiful area to explore both onsite and nearby! Everything was so clean and tidy! Also Dot provided some incredible recommendations for local hikes!
We absolutely loved our 6 night stay in this beautiful spot! We spent a couple of days just hanging out there. There is a lovely stream and spots deep enough to get in, as well as a hammock and swings to relax and take in the views. The outdoor kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook. The solar shower was a great touch too! The wagons are perfect- the nights were cool for sleeping and so much more comfortable than sleeping in a tent! The location is amazing- close enough for a quick drive to Lyons but also an easy drive to Rocky Mountain. Brainard Lake is also an easy drive and definitely worth the trip (and wait to get in at times). Dot was a lovely host and she does an awesome job of cleaning and attending to all the details around camp. This would be a perfect spot to rent both wagons for a group. There is shared space if you are only renting one and another group is there but we were able to communicate and stay away from each other during these weird times. I cannot recommend this place enough!!
This was more than I could have asked for when looking to connect with nature, silence, terrific accommodations and great host. The unique gypsy wagons had everything one needs and comfortable. I look forward to returning here in the future. Enjoy!
Our Family of 12 including four grandchildren under 8 -savored every hour we spent at this site. From lounging on paddle boards on the pond to rock climbing the rocks on site with anchors, and cooking in the well equipped kitchen, everything was Perfect. We will be back if we can find an open reservation! Book it!!

It was wonderful hosting your family of 12, you are our largest group to date! Your addition of the tear drop camper facilitated the extra room that was needed. We were amazed that you were able to have a paddle board regatta in our Bliss Pond! Your family is welcome back anytimeThanks for adding pictures to our listing!
This site is ideal for two families or two couples that know each other; with shared kitchen and fire pit. We loved all the amenities and access to water. Our kids could have played here all day. Great location for access to RMNP and other great hiking and mountain biking. Host super helpful, full of info and welcoming.
Everything about our experience at Bliss was lovely... from the well stocked kitchen, clean “tiny homes” (we rented both Sapphire and Shimza), comfortable beds, and a shower (though we almost always opted for a therapeutic soak in the 50 degree waters of the 2 swimming holes RIGHT next to Bliss Camp to wash up).
Dot was wonderful to work with and was very helpful when we were choosing hikes. She knew just where to suggest for unforgettable mountain lake views and epic vistas!
We will cherish the memories we made cooking, sitting by the fire, soaking in the cool swimming holes and falling asleep to the sounds of the waterfall and rushing water next to camp bliss. Such a special place!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us!
The Strong’s
The area was beautiful and the gypsy wagons were wonderful! It was just too close to the highway so it was noisy.

Yes, it was Labor Day Weekend and all the "warriors" were out on the road, more so than usual. The road is quiet at night.
We rented out both Shimza and Saphira caravans and I highly recommend this for a group 5+ the owners were so kind and attentive and gave us detailed instructions for everything. My friend literally took notes so we would respect the land because we knew immediately we wanted to return. There was everything you needed at this site, a hiking trail that the owner guided us to, propane fire pit, a kitchen to cook an amazing meal (stove top worked), gravity shower I used to wash my face and brush teeth (little too cold for full body), s stream and pool of water to swim in, and a hammock and swing for dozing off or reading. I can’t wait to return back with my friends.

We look forward to your return to Bliss Camp in a couple of weeks; you will be our first "repeat offender"! You two are by no means an offenders, you were great as guests! RE: "Repeat Offender". we use to own an adventure boating company on Kauai, passengers would often return year after year to boat on NaPali Coast so we started calling them repeat offenders. Since you are a Public Defender I felt you might get a chuckle from the term!
