Located 27 miles from Steamboat Springs in Yampa, Colorado.

Primitive camping creek side with great views of the Flat Tops and private fishing. If you do not mind having a few neighbors, this is the place for you! This is 1 of 2 listings for our shared camp area. How many neighbors you will have will vary depending on how many people the other camper has in their party. Could be 2 people, could be 15, though we do not get a ton of groups that large. Some campers book both shared sites and have the entire area to themselves. (that is, if both are available during your dates of stay.)

Please read entire listing as it will answer most questions.

Campers can place their tent/camper as close to the water as they wish. The sound of water flowing and peaceful sunsets over the Flat Tops landscape is what campers love the most here.

RATE: Nightly fee is $50 for 2 people. Additional persons are $25 per night per person. Children under 12 are free. IF YOU HAVE PETS, please see clause by scrolling to bottom of page.

You’ll feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere yet less than 2 miles from these essentials:

-Grocery Store

-Liquor Store

-Bar with a Patio downtown Yampa

-24 Hour 50’s Diner downtown Yampa

-Gas Station

RECREATION HERE:

-Tons of hiking Trails

-ATV trails

-Alpine Lakes

-Multiple Reservoirs to Paddle Board/Kayak/Canoe

-MANY Reservoirs & small lakes for fishing

-Scenic Drives

-Free Firing Range located nearby

-StageCoach Reservoir and beach.

*This is primitive dispersed camping that comes with the peace of mind of being able to have a reservation and not having to be in a "campground", though you will be sharing the area with another party, it is still pretty private compared to a traditional campground.

****Also, it is Colorado and it is camping, so the MOSQUITOS and HORSE FLYS can be thick at times and they like fresh blood. All campers will want to make sure they have bug spray on BEFORE they start setting up their camp or you WILL get bit. We recommend DEET as it works the best.

GETTING HERE:

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the fact we own several acres of land, these sites that have been created do not have their own address, therefore GPS pins are not too helpful. PLEASE NOTE OUR CHECK-IN INSTRUCTIONS.

CHECK-IN PROCESS: We ask that you call us on the telephone number we provide at booking to notify us when you are 1-2 hours out and we will meet you in Yampa (less than 2 miles from your site) and personally take you to your site to ensure you do not get lost. Even if your check in is extremely late at night, that is ok.

****THOSE WHO HAVE DOGS****due to the fact this is a shared area and not one of our private sites, dogs must be leashed; HOWEVER, if you prefer not to have your dogs leashed we can place you on the other side of the river, across from the other party. This will ensure no dog fights and no neighbors being bothered if your dogs like to run around. When booking, please indicate if you have dogs. The first party to arrive gets to pick which side of the river they would like.

Such a nice location. Amber Is amazing, led us to camp, plugged us some cheap firewood, and overall was super inviting and welcome. Got us extra blankets we needed, really deserves a raise for all the help around the site and work she does for all the campers that come stay, definitely would recommend.

Bobby G's space is really lovely. We ended up in one of the spots right on the river and couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to camp out. The river was awesome on a warm day. Also doubles as a fridge for your beers :) The area has a few fire pits so if you're with other groups you can have a bit of privacy and still enjoy a nighttime campfire. If you want the entire area for yourself just ask, and if nobody's booked you can pay a bit more to rent out the whole shared spot, which I recommend. Be aware: if you've got a car that's low to the ground you may bottom out a bit on the way in, or take it very slowly. Better to bring a wagon/SUV if you can.

This was the best campsite experience I have ever had! Bobbie was great and so kind in helping us get to the camp site. The site was beautiful! There was even a river following right by us and the FirePit was an added bonus. The nearest gas station and convenience store was a short drive and Bobbie even helped us find fire wood. It was very private but we felt safe. I have already recommended this place to multiple people! 10/10 will be back
