We are a family-owned RV park and Tiny Home Glampground located 50 minutes from the east entrance to Grand Canyon National Park and only 20 minutes north of Flagstaff, Arizona. Our family -- Adam, Shelley, Zoe, Ava, and Cairo -- purchased the RV park in 2021. The property was a trading post for decades but had fallen into disrepair. We have been busy painting, cleaning and improving the grounds to become a comfortable oasis for your family. Our location on US Hwy 89 on the east side of the highway is only a few miles from the breathtaking aspens of Lockett Meadow, the ruins of Wupatki National Monument and the lava flows at Sunset Crater. The park is a short drive to downtown Flagstaff, and on the way to the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, Moab and Durango. Stay the night or as long as you like! Drink in the hibiscus sunrises above the Painted Desert and relax into the long shadows of the San Francisco Peaks. Nearby activities include: bird watching, hiking, river rafting or tubing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, stargazing, and rockhounding. This area conforms to the Arizona Dark Sky initiative, and while we are not dark-sky certified, we've had several guests compliment us on our beautiful skys. When it comes to rockhounding, or amateur geology, this is a fantastic area for exploration and study.
We gladly welcome pets, as long as you take care of all their needs, including cleaning up any mess and filling in any holes. Well mannered, friendly dogs may be unleashed from time to time. Please, PLEASE watch your small pets carefully. If you're traveling with cats, please keep them on a lead.
There is a riding academy and boarding facility adjacent to our property, and a long pleasant trail allows horseback riders, hikers and cyclists to travel along the Verde Greenway into Old Town Cottonwood, a pleasant 30 minute walk through lush riparian area.
Hawks Hideaway is a family owned property, occupied by a 3rd and 4th generation, mother-son team. Two generations have lived and died here before us and we are proud to be the custodians of this majestic property, full of old growth, gigantic cottonwood trees. A birdwatcher, or naturalists dream.
Hawks Hideaway is a natural and secluded spot located directly adjacent to the state-maintained Verde River Greenway. This means you may encounter wildlife and pests associated with being in such close connection to nature.
Hawks Hideaway is next to many miles of wilderness. You may see or encounter wildlife of all kinds, most are harmless, some are dangerous. It is your responsibility to know the difference. Be prepared to tuck your food away and bring ample protection from the insects.
You are responsible for your own safety and are camping here at you own risk. Please do not interact with any wild animals. If you encounter something and need help, please reach out to us. We live on the property and are readily available.

Located in the heart of Sedona, our property offers convenient access to several trails, shopping, and dining. We cater primarily to guests seeking outdoor recreation and those looking to avoid traffic or congested campsites.
Our property and neighborhood are part of one of Sedona’s original homesteads. The campsite is located on a half-acre orchard, but a smaller designated area has been sectioned off for guests. Please refer to the diagram in the photos for details. Guests are not permitted in the larger field and orchard areas.
We have several shade trees, a small grassy area, and a picnic table. Stroll through the neighborhood and enjoy the orchards and local wildlife, especially the birds.
We are a short 10–15 minute walk to the Hillside Shopping Center and Tlaquepaque. Mountain biking to the Hangover and Huckaby Trailhead is about 10 minutes. The bottom of Adobe Jack and Javelina is about a 5-minute mountain bike ride. Broken Arrow Trailhead is about a 10-minute mountain bike ride. Marg’s Draw (wilderness area) is about a 2-minute drive.
Our site can only accommodate smaller vehicles, primarily camper vans or cab-over campers. All units must be fully self-contained. There are no restrooms on site, and we ask guests not to urinate on the property. Absolutely no drugs or parties. Quiet hours begin after sunset. We are located in a quiet neighbourhood and ask guests to be respectful of our neighbours.

We offer a RURAL, rustic camping experience. Our property is off-grid thus we cannot offer you any sort of facilities or services at this time & your cell may not be 100% useful. We chose Outpost in our name because we believe it provides an accurate description: a remote, isolated station, settlement, or camp located at a distance from the main body.
Our property is 7.4 miles down a dirt Indian Route through a significant wash and while 4 wheel drive is ideal, you can make it in nice weather conditions without 4 wheel drive. Keith’s sister made it in her Chevrolet Sonic, for example. Large RVs may scrape along the way; we did with our 40' fifth wheel.
Our 60 acre property offers a unique experience for those looking for a place to unplug and explore with plenty of privacy and room to roam. You'll enjoy incredible views of the Painted Desert, Gray Mountain, and the San Francisco peaks. The night skies will be unlike anything you’ve seen unless you have been in the middle of the ocean with no light pollution.
Some important things to note about our property:
Our property will always and forever be a Safe Place for all people. We hold no prejudices regardless of race, ethnicity, or creeds. Our guests will always be respected, loved and welcome and it must be that way with other guests.
We are a clothing optional campground, which means you may be naked on our property.
We are pet-friendly. We have two medium size puppies. Let's ensure our furry friends have as much fun as we are having by keeping them on a leash and we clean up after them. We also wouldn't want them to chase away the wild mustangs, which are beautiful to see in full gallop.
NOTICE: As a desert location you may encounter wildlife (nice and not so nice) while on the property hiking around. We have seen pacific gopher snakes, non-venomous snake that eats rodents and has similar markings to rattlesnakes, which are also present. A triangle head means venomous. Listen carefully while hiking around.

Our sunsets and night star-gazing are just spectacular and we're enough off the beaten path that there's no crowds or traffic to deal with, but you are close to dining and area attractions.
This is a quiet, rural neighborhood and a peaceful farm that borders the National Forest for easy hiking and few neighbors. The farm animals do cluck, crow, whinny, neigh, baa, bleat, squeal, and oink at various times, including early morning.
There is one mile of a somewhat bumpy gravel road with hills to reach our neighborhood, so please make sure you are ready for that and have adequate towing power. The nearest services and dining are 5 minutes away. We are about 25-30 minutes to Sedona, the Village of Oak Creek,
and the popular red rock hiking sites. There are many wineries and dining right down the road to enjoy.

Go ahead and gently remove any small shrubs. Just remember to leave the bigger plants and trees standing tall.
The road leading here might be a bit bumpy, so a 4x4 with good clearance is your best bet. Now, let's talk about the real magic: no frills, just pure, untouched nature. Think of it as your own private BLM land. Please, treat it with respect. Pack out all your trash and minimize your impact. No bathrooms, no water, no electricity – just you, the stars, and the incredible outdoors. After a day of hiking, skiing, or exploring, come back to your campsite and enjoy the breathtaking night sky. It’s the perfect way to unwind and recharge.
