This property and the hosts, Ethan and Adriane were so awesome! We started our visit with a nice meet and greet and chat with the them, learning the history of the land that has been in their family for generation after generation and already I was smitten by them and the place! Then we drove out to where the glamping tents were, near the pond, and I was instantly wowed by all the thought and detail that has gone into the two tents. There are comfortable beds in each, extra seating, lighting and even a citronella candle, box of tissue, fire started and batteries. No detail left out! After the initial tour, we were left alone to enjoy ourselves. We enjoyed wine and snacks on the patio of the tent, cooked our dinners over the grill, with firewood that Ethan provided for us, took some golden hour photos on the island of the pond, and eventually found ourselves late at night on the dock. This is by far the most magical, most memorable part of our stay... we sat out on the dock, first looking up and marveling at how many stars could be seen out there. But then we looked down, and to our surprise saw hundreds of stars, reflected in the pond water and racing about with the movement of the water. Looking up into infinity and then down into infinity was a sight I have never seen before and will never forget! The next morning we were awaken by a glorious sunrise view, right out our tent. We made breakfast, watched horses wander by in the field nearby and soaked it all in. Next, Ethan took us down to the stables and took us on a short horseback ride around the pen. We said our good byes and were on our way, but I will be back for sure! This property is big enough to accommodate large groups, or if you happen to get lucky like us, you may get the entire place to yourself to enjoy! Either way, you will love it!
Upon arrival I was greeted by Ethan, who showed me my tent where I would be staying. It was just as it is on the site. Very well put together and the bed was super comfortable. The way they have the décor is very amazing and unique. Ethan also gave me a tour of the ranch and the history of land. It is very interesting. Later him, his family, and I started fishing in the pond. I never fished, but he was very patient and allowed me to use his rod. I didn't catch one until the next day, but I have plenty of pictures for memories. I was able to meet the rest of his family later on. They have fire wood if you need it for the cold nights. Having the ability to be in nature with the rabbits, horses, quails, etc. is very relaxing for me. To cap it off, was being able to see a fully lite star shined night. I enjoyed every bit of my stay and wished I could've stayed longer. They are a very nice and genuine family. Everything on the ranch was built by the family. I recommend anybody to give this place a opportunity to give you the experience that I had. I am definitely going back again in a month or less.
We had an amazing time at the Twisselman’s ranch. The glamping tents were beautiful and clean, and had every amenity needed. The bed was very comfortable and they provided lanterns and solar lights, plus extra blankets. Our tent also had a wood burning stove for cold nights. They had just installed new showers with on demand hot water and the three plumbed bathrooms were very clean and well stocked. we enjoyed wandering the dirt roads around the campsite. There were multiple zones to hang out in and options for fire pits and grilling. We played horseshoes! The pond had a couple of docks with canoe/ paddle boats where we will definitely fish next time. It was extremely peaceful watching the birds during the day and listening to all the animals at night. The Twisselmans were extremely accomodating and super nice. They were available for anything we needed, yet allowed us our privacy. It was a wonderful, relaxing experience and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you Adrien and Ethan for opening up your ranch for us to enjoy!
A fun getaway to meet a friend from LA. Beautiful area, the site was so cute, and the host welcoming and full of hospitality. Also, some of the best stargazing I’ve experienced in years! Highly recommend!
Such an amazing space. Everything was beyond clean. The beds, rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and showers were so clean! I didn’t expect everything to be so perfect.
We arrived pretty late but the space was all set for us with towels and a warm shower. The boats on the pond are really fun to take out early morning for a coffee or late night star gazing with wine.
Just note - we were there when a few trailers were around with kids so it was a bit loud - but as soon as we told our host they took care of everything. They also told us they are building more tents and moving the trailers to the other side of the pond - which will help with noise.
If you found this spot - consider yourself lucky - and for sure book it. Because there is no place like it! Enjoy!
My boyfriend and I were looking to get away from LA and found this beautiful glamping site on Hip Camp. We met Adriane at the campsite and she showed us around and was so nice. She let us know that we could reach her if we needed anything. The site is fully equipped with anything you could possibly need for camping (besides food) and more. The bathrooms and showers were super clean and the whole site is very well kept. We had a wonderful time and hope to be back!
Twisselman Ranch is awesome, Adriane&Ethan really make the stay so welcoming. The land is beautiful, and the pond is so peaceful. Plenty of
places to hang out with numberous fire pits, horse shoe games, archery areas, and canoe or paddleboating in the pond. I would come back again.
