The vibe at The Yuba Yurt
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
The Yuba Yurt is a relaxing, cozy, getaway tucked up on the edge of the Tahoe National Forest and about 20 minutes from the beautiful Yuba River. We enjoyed to many comfortable amenities offered by this humble space - in particular: taking hot outdoor baths after long hikes, waking up to the sound of rain on the canvas roof, and having the ability to cook full meals in the well equipped kitchen made our stay very easy. The Yuba Yurt is a great value, beautiful location, and is definitely on my short list of places to return to without hesitation!
The yurt was absolutely perfect for our fall weekend getaway. When we weren't at the river fly fishing or in Nevada City poking around the historic sites, bars and shops, we found solace in the yurt playing board games and Yahtzee, cooking meals in the full kitchen which is stocked with every utensil, pot or pan you need, and enjoying the outdoor tub, which yes does have hot water and yes, is as amazing as it looks! The instructions to find the place were spot on, and the instructions for the heating system and wood burning stove are easily located inside. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to all our friends.
A sublime getaway in the trees.
From the second you walk in Kathy and Jim's Yurt, it feels like home. This wonderful structure has everything you would need. Our favorite was the pot belly stove while hearing the rain pitter patter on the canvas, Its relaxing and a perfect refresher from the busy everyday life in Silicon Valley. We enjoyed the Yurt so much we are already planning our trip back. High Recommendations!
We had such a wonderful time at the Yuba Yurt! They provide just the right homey details to make the experience both special and personal: a well-equipped kitchen, lovely breakfast perch on the back deck, great selection of books and games, comfortable seating inside and out. The logistics of staying in a yurt still provide a lot of the elements of camping, but with additional luxuries that make you want to stay forever.
The yurt was so magical. We had four guests total and it felt extremely spacious and relaxing. Poured down rain on day three of our stay, and we all enjoyed ourselves reading and working on puzzles and drinking warm beverages. I was brave enough to enjoy the lovely outdoor tub even in freezing temps - it was totally dreamy. Thank you for such a lovely getaway!
