Sitting a tad north of the town itself, John Whitehead Jr. Campground offers visitors a place to stay with 115 campsites open year round. Normal amenities are included, with camp stoves and picnic tables at each campsite and flush toilets/showers nearby. Other features include turf, trees, and shade ramadas that help guests lounge and enjoy some necessary cover from that California sun. Campers are fairly close together in the rectangular route that encompasses the sites, but no worries, it’s still comfy.

This is a convenient place to camp when travelling through the area since there isn't many other options around. Don't forget your mosquito repellent and watch out for bunnies and field mice when driving by night! Amenities are great, showers are free and clean.
