The property is beautiful with an amazing forest and stunning lake. Brent was very helpful (never met Sherri). I definitely wouldn't have booked the site if I knew it was up a steep driveway with about 3 switchbacks. I was driving a fully loaded old camper van pulling a small motorcycle trailer (also loaded with motorcycle and totes) and it was hard on the van, also had to back up and jackknife the trailer on a couple of the switchbacks. One suggestion I have (and already mentioned to Brent) is if they mark clearly on their main bio of the land that their driveway is not recommended for any kind of bigger units. Also if its wet, 4x4 would be better. Luckily it was dry when we arrived. I read through their page and didn't notice the one smaller spot they mention about the driveway. Brent was very helpful and also offered to pull my trailer down the driveway the next morning for us and that felt very supportive so he definitely made up for it! Haha. Thank you so much Brent for your kindness.

3rd time camping here, just love it. A bit on the pricier side, but the little upgrades every year and the lake close by make it totally worth it.

I loved tent camping here, the walk down to the lake is quite short, and not too complicated for anyone who’s used to walking in forests. it was super calm at night, very relaxing. directions were clear and brent and sherri were very welcoming :)

Sherri and Brent are such great hosts, always so friendly and welcoming. We've been coming to Hayward to camp for years and they're always making improvements to the sites. We were so excited to check out their new glamping option this year and it did not disappoint. Everything you need and so cozy. Can't wait to visit again soon!

We were supposed to spend our stay at site 6 yet Brent and Sherri were kind enough to upgrade us to the “Glamping” site. The site was so much fun and the farm was beautiful. I’d recommend Brent and Sherri’s farm as an amazing getaway and will hopefully be back soon!

The lake was so incredibly beautiful and such a good place for my first time camping, I would recommend this place to everyone!! The hosts were so sweet and friendly to my group as well as through hipcamp. We will be back next year for sure.

Private access to lake shared with the public, gets busier on the lake in hotter summer months during the day and into late morning, spacious camping spots on private property, iconic old growth forest leading to the water (the hike down is steep in areas, but the view is very picturesque and heard many birds occupying the space), there are chickens, roosters, and bunnies in the nearby yard that belong to a homeowner (love all the animals!), there are many ways to connect with nature here (living off the land/more off-grid approach, stargazing on the water, hiking along the trail, birdwatching and listening, swimming in the lake, and reconnecting with nature with plenty of greenery to go around). The drawbridge that connects from both land points on the water is NOT connected, so proceed with caution, but upon further evaluation, will be up and running hopefully very soon. Overall, what a lovely experience to have in Canada, as I will be back to relive it all over again in the future!!

Great little spot! Private and large. Little walk to the lake and there was a massive swim dock and hardly any people. Site 6 had no afternoon shade but site 5 looked like it had plenty. Trains and planes all day and all night. Outhouse was clean and close by. Enjoyed our weekend!! Thanks so much.

The camp site was pretty great, it was located on the side of a road heading to the property so we would have cars passing by every now and again but it didn’t take away from the experience. It’s so close to so many good places to explore.

Beautiful property, excellent views, attentive host and hostess.
Hayward Farms was a great spot during a two month road trip from Michigan to the Pacific Coast from southern California to British Columbia . We stayed 5 nights at 3 different campsites here, toured waterfalls and hikes and sites nearby and visited friends in Burnaby.
Hipcamp has been a great alternative when traveling and you need a campsite on short notice .
Brent and Sherri accommodated us famously.

A rejuvenating place to relax both in your campsite and at the nearly private area of Hayward Lake that you can reach in less than five minutes by foot. Warmly welcomed by both Sherri and Brett , making sure we were, as well as our dogs, comfortable.
Look forward to coming back for more days to relax and unwind.

Kind host, isolated campsite with good distance to other ones (30m+), decent outdoor eco washroom, access to amazing lake, koyark pad board and life vests available, 10 minutes driving to gas station and Tim Hortons....
What else do you need?
Oh, no need to rush in to book like for public campsite.
I will come back every year.

My son and his friend had such a fantastic time staying at Brent and Sherri’s campsite! From the very start, Sherri and Brent were incredibly helpful, friendly, and extremely accommodating. Their communication was amazing — always quick to respond and willing to answer any questions. They truly went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable.
The boys especially loved having kayaks available to rent, which became one of the highlights of their trip. They had so much fun out on the water.
I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out, and my son couldn’t stop talking about how great it was. I would 100% recommend staying at Hayward Farms, we will definitely be booking with them again. Thanks again for everything !

Site 2 had a great view
I had a van and it was a bit dodgy, making the turns in order to position myself on the side maybe that’s my lack of driving expertise, but I found it challenging
Something probably should’ve been mentioned about the bears and I wonder at the garbage rules as there were open garbage cans maybe requiring campers to keep all their garbage and food in the vehicle as it is bear country.
Other than that, the host were welcoming responsive invited me to pick berries in the garden and it was in a convenient location for going to the BC Hydro, Visitor Center, Rowley Lake and the other lake.
Composting toilet was not really a toilet, but that’s camping!
