Lovely cabin offers a one-of-a-kind retreat on 190 acres - 3 comfy beds for 4, covered patio, fresh spring water, kitchenette (fridge, coffee maker, microwave, single range burner, toaster). We have miles of our own hiking trails, 2 fishing ponds, wonderful scenic views. We are 1 hr from Harrisonburg VA, 3 hrs from Richmond VA or 3 1/2 hrs from Washington DC. nRocks is close, and there are hiking trails nearby (Seneca Rocks, North Fork Mountain Trail, High Knob, Spruce Knob), and there are many options for biking, caves, motorcycling, local festivals in Franklin WV & Highland Co VA. This rustic cabin has NO bathroom, internet, or tv. Board games provided.  Portapotty nearby plus guests may be able to use bathrooms in the main lodge for showers (see note above). Guests may share the picnic pavilion, porches, grills. Groups - see our other listings - we can sleep 18 in beds, have many camping spots.

3 night minimum on holiday weekends.

The historic Ananais Pitsenbarger Farm is on the property, too. It is an 1840s German Appalachian homestead - 16 buildings - which is on the National Register of Historic Places. You are welcome to look around!

Cook for yourself, or head to nearby Franklin for a meal.

Due to the nature of the property, a liability waiver is required. Please get permission to bring a dog. An extra pet cleaning fee of $50 applies - bring cash for that. Ask for an old dog blanket if your dog gets on furniture, to avoid charges against your security deposit for damages.

Stars in the sky at night were so beautiful. We enjoyed the time in front of bonfire. I won't forget the milky way.
Cabin was clean and well maintained. Thank Jeff and Teresa!

We loved our stay at Loafer's Glory! The barn cabin was very thoughtfully restored and decorated, and it comes with everything you need. The property was beautiful and secluded. Don't miss the historic 1840s homestead-- so fun to explore!

Thanks Jeff and Teresa!

Was our first getaway during the pandemic and it couldn't be better. The barn is beautiful! There are nice hikes you can take on the property and not see another person. Teresa and Jeff have kept the place clean, stocked, sanitized, and ensure that bathrooms are not shared. Our kids loved running up and down the meadows, playing cornhole, making a fire, and Xena, the dog, was a great host to our canine as well!

I loved everything about the barn and this property! I found the barn extremely clean. The barn provided us with lots of the "home" stuff we needed (i.e. table, beds, mini fridge, etc). I thought the inside and outside were so well designed. I cannot wait to come again. Jeff and Teresa did such an awesome job making us feel welcome. Hats off to you both!

Highly suggest: exploring the farm trails & original home steads, go to Seneca Rocks (beyond worth it), watch the stars at night (INCREDIBLE), stay more than just a weekend...I wanted so much more time.

Jeff and Teresa were absolutely awesome. They were extremely knowledgeable of the history of their camp and the surrounding area. They were also very friendly and made everyone feel welcome. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give them a 10. If you are looking for a getaway in a rustic outdoors setting they are who you want to book with.
