Runner up for the best caravan spots in Australia 2024 - Hipcamp Award Logan Park Farm is an historic 4th generation family farm with beef cattle and cropping set on the Logan River with beautiful surroundings in the Scenic Rim. The property was first settled in the 1840’s and became the headquarters of Tamrookum Station in 1878 when Robert Collins and his family purchased the property. Just over an hour from the Gold Coast and Brisbane. At Logan Park Farm we have camping grounds and Murphy's Country Accommodation - a three bedroom cottage. Scenic Rim Regional Council Camp Ground Licence Acc21/0010 and Acc21/0012 There are no facilities here, if you do not have toilet facilities please do not book any of our sties. Firewood is available please message if you require it. Please arrive to camp prior to dark. Message host if you need to arrive later. The camp sites are spacious with plenty of distance between each site - no crowds. Each site is for your group only. Open for bookings for Christmas and New Year - numbers are limited. No large parties. We prefer to promote a quieter area. Beautiful sunsets, mountain views, birds and quiet surroundings. Enjoy the stars on a clear night. Explore the beautiful Scenic Rim area from here. Visit the historic Tamrookum All Saints Memorial Church. A large natural lagoon and the Logan River provide opportunities to relax, swim, fish or kayak. An abundance of Carp and Tilapia provide great fishing opportunities at the Lagoon or the Logan River. Children aged 12 years and under no charge (please do not include them in your numbers when making a booking) Pet friendly off-grid camping. All sites are unpowered. No motorboats or motor bikes. No parties - this is a quiet camping area please keep noise including music to a minimum level. Please respect our wildlife, our neighbours and your camping neighbours at all times. Enjoy our large camp sites with family and friends. Noise travels easily in the evening please reduce noise by 9pm. Larger groups welcome on some sites please message hosts. Tamrookum Store is 2 kilometres away for general goods, fuel and take away food.

We. Spent our time in the caravan right on the river. The campsites are very spacious. The views of the mountains are spectacular. There was lots of birds. It was peaceful and relaxing. We also had our dog with us.

Third time at this fabulous place. We can’t get enough of the space, privacy and excellent hosts. This is one of the best locations, close to Brisbane, easy access, nice level areas, and scenery that changes each time we come. The storm put on a spectacular lighting show while the moon was insanely bright on our first night. It’s one place we will continue to return to❤️

This was our 3rd time at Libby’s beautiful property. It’s always well maintained and just the most perfect place to unwind within the large site areas. This time was extra special for us as Libby’s cattle were in the area right near our site but fenced off from coming through to our camp. It was great to get close to them, such beautiful healthy cattle and the little ones are so cute. Thank you once again Libby for sharing your beautiful property with us. It’s our favourite place to spend time in the Scenic Rim and only 1 hour from home. ❤️

Libby’s Hipcamp was very quiet, private and relaxing. The running creek with a little beach access is also a great touch. Only negative was the amount of flies, but that won’t stop us going again. Thanks again Libby for letting us stay on your beautiful property!

We loved our stay at Logan Park Farm, Libby met us on arrival and showed us down to our Camp spot. What beautiful views and so calm and quiet. Our dogs loved the lake to swim in and loved the space to run around. We'll definitely be back to Logan Park Farm

Heaps of space & not close to other campers....perfect! Great dam the kids & dog swam in & very relaxing. Take all supplies, as shops are 20 mins down the road :-)

Lovely spot. Big, open, well maintained sites. Plenty of room for caravans. Old boat ramp was the pick if you want easy access to the water for swimming, fishing and kayaking.

Had a really good time with my son at Logan Park Farm. Libby the host was lovely and let me boy collect eggs which was a highlight. Very accommodating and helpful. Our camp site was well mowed and spacious and the dam was bigger than we thought...more than enough to kayak around in. Will return again

Whistling-Duck Point (2WD)
Just spent 4 days at Logan Park Farm and found it to be very relaxing. The owner Libby and her son Cameron were very approachable and nice to deal with. On arrival we were handed a very handy info pack which included important phone numbers for police , fire and ambulance, as well as a number of local veterinary services. The pack also included a map of the scenic rim area and menus for local food shops. Of all the Hipcamps we have been to this is the first to have such an info pack, other camp owners should take note. Very well done. The grounds themselves looked well kept and each site included a large fire pit area made up of a ring of stones. Fire wood is available and you get a lot for your $25 dollars much more than similar priced bags from service stations. The lagoon was full of birdlife, fish and turtles and our 2 dogs loved swimming in it. We did see at least 1 snake per day swimming across the lagoon however it is approaching summer time in Australia and snakes are everywhere in the bush. Each site has a very large cleared area of short grass where snakes shouldnt be a problem but be vigilant if staying in the warmer months. We also had one of the best curries we have ever had at the nearby ( 5 minutes away) Tamrookum Fill and Feast which we took back to camp and had by the campfire. All in all it was a great relaxing and quiet four days.

This is our second time at Logan Park Farm and we’re booked again to return. We just love the open, private space here with fabulous views and brilliant sunsets. We joined friends celebrating their new Ultimate camper. Had a fabulous weekend at the end of a two week camping adventure. Such a gorgeous place.

We loved our stay - easy drive in, and the site is very spacious and completely private. Very relaxing, especially with all the bird calls and amazing sunsets. Libby was very friendly and helpful. Such a lovely weekend away, so close to Brisbane.

Our little family thoroughly enjoyed camping at Whistling Duck. It was a beautiful escape with our own space to enjoy. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back for another weekend trip. Extemely happy to pass on and recommend to others.

Camped at Collins Camp site and it was beautiful. The host Libby was very accommodating and friendly. We arrived after dark and she still made herself available to show us to our site. Also, so convenient and easy to buy firewood through the host. Will be saving and coming back again!

Great spot, easy access, reasonably flat and lovely host The dogs loved all the open space and being right on the dam. If your fully self sufficient and ready for a relaxing weekend away this is a great pick! We will be back to try the other sites
