Montana’s portion of the Rocky Mountains is a magical place to escape to, and the hardest part about planning a camping trip is deciding where to go! If you want to hang out down by the river then come on out to Big Creek Campground in the Flathead National Forest. The main draw, not surprisingly, is the Flathead River, with it’s awesome fishing and floating activities. Cast your reel or float in an inner tube by day, and gather ‘round the campfire by night, underneath a canopy of stars so bright you’ll be at a loss for words. A big chunk of the campsites are situated right on the river, but even if you can’t grab one of the prime places, you’ll never be far from the water. Wanna know what else you won’t be far from? The Camas Creek entrance to Glacier National Park!
