95 acres on the beautiful Topisaw Creek. Here we've raised 5 kids and a multitude of dogs, cats and chickens and a small herd of pineywoods cattle. The woods are quiet and undisturbed , harboring native species like jack in the pulpit, trillium and Florida anise. The spring-fed (and thus always refreshing!) Topisaw Creek forms the eastern border of our property, so plan to spend time on the sandy beaches and rock bars soaking up the sun or hunting for rocks and fossils (petrified wood and arrowheads have been found here). Many folks also enjoy a leisurely float down the creek in inner tubes ('tubing') or in a kayak. (Please note that after heavy rains the creek rises to epic heights and is too dangerous to navigate.) Little to no light pollution makes for amazing stargazing!

RV/tent site · Sleeps 8 · Vehicles under 20 ft
We offer a range of camping experiences from walk in primitive tent sites to car camping sites. Lovely woodland trails skirt the cool and clear spring-fed Topisaw Creek. Wade in the creek, sunbathe and hunt for fossils on the beaches and rock bars. Little to no light pollution makes for amazing stargazing in the pasture! ***PLEASE NOTE THAT WE'VE RECENTLY (6/09/21) CHANGED SOME SITE NUMBERS SO YOUR FAVORITE SITE MIGHT HAVE A NEW NUMBER.*** Pasture Corner Site: Super easy access in the corner of the pasture. Just drive up and unload! Perfect for sunsets and stargazing. There are no trees (shade) at this site. THE SITES BELOW SHARE ACCESS TO A LOVELY SANDBAR: Site 2: Easy access with super short walk in. Park within yards of your campsite. Path to creek. Site 3: Drive in site is our most easily accessible site and perfect for car/van or tent camping. Path to creek. THE SITES BELOW SHARE ACCESS TO A LOVELY SANDBAR: Site 4: Walk in (2 minutes) wooded site for 1 large or 2 small tents. The creek is just across the trail. Site 5: Walk in wooded site on bluff at edge of creek. (While you have a nice view of the creek, to access it you'll need to walk a few yards down the path.) ***SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SITE 5: If you book this deep-in-the-woods site you MUST arrive before dark, as it's too tricky to navigate the path in darkness. Plus you'll likely disturb other campers.*** Site 6: Wooded site on edge of pasture. Drive up for easy access. Park within yards of your campsite. 5 minute walk to creek.

David and his wife were so sweet! They accommodated us last minute….that same day! We were on our 2 week cross country honeymoon trip and needed a place to camp for that night. David met us out there and showed us our site. It was very peaceful and private! They were even sweet enough to leave us a small wedding gift on the hood of our car the morning after!

It was a perfect place to camp. We had plenty of room and the creek was amazing. This is a gem that should be experienced. We loved it and we will be back. Thank you Also, the wood was more than enough so it is worth the money. We had an awesome fire.

Peaceful Time in Nature at Topisaw

Site 2
Our visit to Camp Topisaw was lovely. The property is quiet, the sites are private and spaced pretty far apart from one another, and David, the owner, is friendly and accommodating. We loved site 2, which is right off the driving path but somehow feels very private. The owners' sweet old dog, Luna, came to hang out multiple times and even slept at our site all night at least one night. The first night, we heard someone/something walking around our tent and figured it was a wild animal, but we're now almost positive it was Luna because she came to hang out the next morning and then came back again that evening and slept near the tent all night. David also was kind enough to invite us to hang out at the large creek-side camping spot because the person staying there had checked out early. We spent two afternoons skipping rocks on a quiet creek. Very beautiful and peaceful visit.
