Castleberry Bridge

George & Gini's site was so nice for a small getaway + they are amazing hosts. They helped us out with some small accomodations with a friendly attitude + no issue. You can tell just how much love, pride, and work the 2 of them have put towards this place. George is so friendly & we chatted with him a bunch about local history, things to do, some shared interests, etc. Gini was also a doll when it came to questions we had & some technical stuff with our booking. The camp sites are a bit close to some other sites and the "road" through their land is more on the narrow side so I probably wouldnt recommend bringing/driving a pickup truck but our SUV had 0 issues navigating back + forth. There's a cute little butterfly farm about 5 min down the road that I totally recommend checking out. My only other suggestion would to definitely bring flashlights as once the sun goes down, it is a bit hard to see while walking. We will most certainly be back next time we camp in GA!! Hidden river gem

Castleberry Bridge has become our go to spot for our annual camping trip, and it truly is a hidden gem! We spent amazing days swimming, tubing, fishing, relaxing by the fire, and just enjoying being together. The hosts are absolutely wonderful, friendly, accommodating, and always making sure everyone has what they need. Free firewood, daily trash pickup, and honestly some of the cleanest campsite bathrooms we’ve ever seen. It’s incredibly family friendly, and we especially love that the dogs can be off leash and enjoy the trip right along with us. 🐾 Our pups give it two paws up\! Another amazing trip in the books. We’ll definitely be back next year!

This was our first camping trip as a family, and George was incredibly hospitable and attentive. His helpful advice made our experience much easier. We ended up staying at campsite #1/2, which offered a great view and was conveniently located near the river. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend staying at this campground.

Great site- lots to do there- wish we could have stayed longer. You can tell the hosts have thought of everything- high chairs built into picnic tables, hook and ring games and firewood all set up. The hosts were very communicative and helpful.

We had a fantastic time at Castleberry Bridge! We stayed on Sites 4 & 5 and it was perfect for our group and our pups. Just a short walk to the bathrooms and right on the river. The sites were very clean and well maintained and the firewood every afternoon was a really nice touch! Thank you so much and we will be returning!

We loved tent camping at Castleberry Bridge! We booked last minute as our 4 year old son kept bugging us to go camping. Next thing you know, our son and George are besties and he woke up both mornings asking for Mr. George. He treated us like family. George and Gini have done a tremendous job in cleaning up this area of the river. As well making this a family friendly spot but also room for those without children. It was a fun, communal type feel. The slides into the water, the baby swing and park slides beach side, tubes available throughout the day (extra charge), life jackets all throughout, high chairs built into the picnic tables, campfires pre made by George so you had one less thing to think about after the fun day were all perks! He even made sure we were prepared for the rain that came through via text and showing up on site. For families looking to start camping, this place is it! We can’t wait to go back!

Perfect trip camping and tubing

We loved camping by the river being disconnected from the world for the weekend! Ginny and George were so friendly and helpful as usual. The bathrooms are always so clean, doesn't even seem like a portojohn. Friday night we were the only campers, it was so peaceful. The only downside to camping here is the campsites are really close to each other, luckily all the campsites weren't booked up so it wasn't an issue.

It’s a very beautiful spot and the hosts are lovely — the moonrise was amazing in the hours before dawn. We stayed in site 10 — the one problem with this site is that it is right under a floodlight, so it’s a little hard to sleep. I would probably recommend sites 7-9 over site 10 for this reason. I would come back here, just probably not the same tent site.

This was my favorite campsite I’ve ever been to! George and Gini were very nice and accommodating. Our campsite was right on the river. It was a beautiful view. There was nobody else camping when we went, so we had the whole place to ourselves! Endless firewood was provided, the wood was already set up, and George gave us a torch to light it (because it was raining), firestarter, and lighter fluid. Trash cans were accessible everywhere and there were port a potties a little ways down. You can tube down the water for $10 and the water is extremely clean. There’s lot of fun little easter eggs you will spot as you explore the campground. The instructions are clear on how to get there.

The Berry

I LOVE THIS PLACE! We have came here for a few summers in a row since finding out about it and camping was even more amazing . Mr.George and Mrs.Gini are the BEST HIST EVVVEERRR!!! They have done such amazing things with the park and I can tell you first hand they don’t take a day off they’re always doing something to improve it for our community to enjoy. We are so blessed to have wonderful people like them let us use their wonderful place. Thank you so so much it’s what I truly needed .
