A popular destination with a ton of recreation options, Hillsboro Cove Campground gives you the best of Marion Reservoir and the beautiful surrounding wooded areas. Sites are arranged close to the shoreline and visitors are free to enjoy their fill of swimming, boating, or fishing in clean, clear waters. The adventurous in spirit can wander off on trails for hiking or wildlife-viewing, and hunting is permitted in nearby marked areas. Big enough to feel like a community, but small enough to keep the comfort factor intact, Hillsboro Cove is a great all-around option for outdoor fun.

Actually stayed at the Marion County Lake but it wasn’t listed. It’s a nice quiet lake with residential housing around the lake. They also have a heated fishing dock.
