Latch up the boat because it’s time for a weekend away at Snake River Vista Recreation Site Campground Snake River is perfect for a weekend in the water. Take the boat out for a spin and fish for some well-earned supper. The best part of this campground has got to be American Falls. You’re just a few minutes away from gorgeous photo-ops of these magnificent waterfalls! Head into the city for some culture and fun to boot. This trip doesn’t have to mean only hanging in the wilderness!

The Snake River Vista is a lovely place to find solitude, isolation, & good photography. The visible local wildlife at the Snake River Vista is Pelican, Seagulls and a few others. The silence, the bird calls, the gently tossed water is a natural zone of perfect Zen. In addition to fishing and boating, the Snake River Vista Recreation Site has two free camp sites. The 1st campsite is small & located off the trails to the left. The 2nd campsite is off to the right on flat land near the bathroom. Each free campsite has a fire pit with grill & a large picnic table. Two polite park rangers checked in on me to make sure I was not stranded. The photography-great but not the right sunrise/sunset spot. For more info:

Great area for bird or landscape photography. Isolation, Seclusion for nomads and boondocking. The open campsite that I call campsite #2
