Description

True outdoorsmen don’t want to let you in on their secret—when it comes to backpacking, there’s no beating Wapiti Campground. This heavily used campground less than 30 miles west of Cody, WY isn’t just home to plenty of grizzlies and other wildlife; it’s also a trailhead into the Washakie Wilderness, where you’ll finally fully understand the name “America the Beautiful”. Sadly, there’s a 16-day limit to your stay at Wapiti, but this Wyoming wilderness has plenty for you to explore.
