Description

Pack your hiking shoes and favorite fly fishing rod, and head to Middle Piney Lake Campground. The campground sits next to the Middle Piney Lake trailhead, which will lead you to some of the most spectacular views in the Wyoming Range. Visit the historic lookout cabin at the summit of Wyoming Peak and bask in the scenic views of the neighboring mountains and then work on your fly-fishing, spinning, or bait casting and enjoy the high odds of getting a bite. What a dream! But before you go, if you’re set on bringing your camping trailer, be sure to check road conditions beforehand.

Sign says there are 7 sites, but only 5 of them are marked, so I guess the rest of the area is up for grabs, not really sure. There are tables, fire pits and a vault toilet. It's a popular day use area for the lake and the trailhead to Wyoming Peak so it can be busy by day. There is no host on site, so expect ATVs, chainsaws and music being played without any consideration to how much noise is being made.
