We are surrounded by other small farms, as well as a brewery, winery, cidery, and a meadery. We are located on a quiet side street and enjoy our peaceful country life. GAEA (the old Greek spelling of Mother Earth) is the name of our property. Historically, Deep Creek Canyon was a winter encampment for the Spokane Indians, whose ancestral lands surround us. We feel the healing spirit of the land, in partnership and stewardship. Our original house was one of the first in the canyon, in the early 1940's. There’s a map of the 5 acres that leads you to hidden features, like the gypsy fortune-telling tea house, a fairy mound at the base of a huge fir tree, a yoga platform, and a Buddha bench for contemplating or conversation. We are in a forested canyon with a dark sky at night and plenty of wildlife.

Relax- Reconnect -Recharge Escape to a peaceful forested retreat at Twin Creeks, nestled in the natural beauty of Washington State. Located less than 4 miles off of Newport/Hwy 2 it is quick and easy access to the retreat area. Propane, diesel and gasoline are readily available at the turn off from Hwy 2 along with a full grocery store, mini mart and the Ram Drive in featuring their famous, year round Huckleberry ice cream and milkshakes. Twin Creeks is a small working farm with cows, chickens and dogs. There is also seasonal wildlife that frequent the area. Across the creek is a large nest that has been home to a couple of red tail hawks and their offspring over the last three years. We have Canadian geese that visit, some mallard ducks that visit the creek right behalong with a plethora of robins, wild turkeys, quail, doves and the occasional blue heron navigating from the ponds below us to Reflection lake above us. Along with our small herd of Highlander cows you will also often see white tailed deer, possibly the resident marmot and in a rare summer appearance a moose. Beautiful waterfront property on Deer Lake with 20 acres and a year round creek. Borders a wildlife preserve and state timberland as well as Deer Lake wetlands. This property has secondary access to deer lake resort for a day fee with a public swimming area and store. Mosquitoes can be active at times seasonally so plan accordingly. ON the lake near the wetlands with seemingly endless hiking, biking, walking and exploring with a true serene nature experience. Expect turtles to walk through the site during the summer while they choose nesting spots on my property. There are wild strawberries and raspberries all over. I recommend downloading On X so you can see the boundaries of the property and explore the 20 acres. The wetlands are included in this property.

Shepherd's Camp offers shaded tent sites in our windbreak with beautiful sunset views and access to a classic sheepherders wagon for additional shelter. The Bunkhouse is your home for a rustic ranch cabin experience. Cloverdale Ranch is home base for the healing hooves of our large herd of goats. Watching kids cavort in the pasture is a delight! We manage 100+ goats every summer, essential to providing natural vegetation management to manage weeds, reduce fire fuels and recycle carbon back into the soil. Explore our 80 acres of rangeland and meadow on foot or by mountain bike (no motorized bikes). Highland Glenn Ranch is located 15 miles north of Republic, WA, in Ferry County. Acres of forest allow for outdoor games and woodland exploration. We are happy to help make your stay on our Ranch special. A Resource Book is available to borrow with listings of local attractions, outdoor activities, shops, and restaurants to help you plan activities during your stay. ~ If visiting Canada is of interest, a scenic 30-minute drive further north on Hwy. 21 along the Kettle River takes you to the border crossing at Grand Forks, BC. If you have questions about the campsites, please reach out. If all sites are booked, contact us… we may be able to create a spot for you. We have room to grow but are doing it slowly. We always meet and greet first-time campers at the gate and escort you to your site, so please arrive as close to Check-In time as possible. We understand that travel can delay arrival. If you tell us you’ll be here at 4:30, we’re sitting and waiting for you. So if you’ll be late, please be courteous of our time and let us know… communication goes a long way. NOTE: we don’t have cell reception, and we’re only online once each day. After booking, we will send you our home landline number (no texting) to call for communication. This is a working ranch, so please be aware that there are sounds associated with our activities: sheep and goats get excited at feeding time; livestock guard dogs bark while doing their jobs, and the rooster announces the break of dawn. ~ The Ranch borders State Land and is within 1 mile of the Colville National Forest, with endless miles of picturesque hiking and wildlife viewing ~ Swimming, fishing, boating, and water skiing are only 15 minutes away at Curlew Lake State Park and the Kettle River ~ One bundle of firewood, 5 gallons of potable water, and a compost toilet are included with your stay. BYOTP though. WILDLIFE: There is a wide range of wildlife around the Ranch- snowshoe hare, grouse, turkey, bobcat, Canada lynx, coyote, cougar, wolf, and black bear. Please use common sense while camping! Always be aware of your surroundings. Keep garbage secure in a vehicle. - There are also ticks in the area.
