We purchased 40 acres several years ago and built our home on the west side. We wished we could better access and appreciate the amazing views on the east side so we built two off grid cabins and a campsite. We have been encouraged to share this very special location with others.

Step out the door of this cozy little rustic, dry, one room mountainside cabin, to disconnect from Wi-Fi (none) and chaos to view sunsets, wide open, star filled, and moon lit night skies with the Milky Way and a few satellites as a bonus.
The Little Cabin offers a mountainside basecamp, getaway, vacation or a more scenic overnight travel stop to allow you and your fur baby to enjoy some Wyoming open space. A microwave, insta pot, mini fridge and propane grill allow for simple meals to be prepared for inside or outside dining or stop for a meal in any of the communities along your way here. Bring water, cabin is dry and snacks. I do keep some basics in the cabin so if you are traveling grab a meal, snacks and some water, the cabin is stocked with the rest of what you'll need for a night's stay without having to unpack the vehicle. If you're traveling I80, the Little Cabin is a great place to enjoy the sunset or just a peaceful night's sleep after enjoying the Snowy Range Scenic byway in the summer and a possible work around if the interstate is closed in the winter. If you're coming in from Denver/Ft Collins, Co area, Poudre Canyon is a beautiful drive and can take you thru Walden, Co or bring you in on Wyo 10. Feel free to reach out if you have questions on the routes, scenic stops, cut overs or short cuts.
There is Hiking, Fishing, Snow Shoeing, Cross Country skiing, Downhill skiing, (Snowy Range Ski Area) Hot Springs, Mountain Lakes, Plains Lakes, the Big Laramie River, all with in a 5-to-90-mile radius. There is public access, dogs allowed, to the Big Laramie River across the highway where you can fish or walk the public access path that runs alongside it.
Watching the wildlife is an experience of its own. From Chipmunks to deer, we see an assortment. If you enjoy birds and their sounds, you can pick a spot and enjoy. If you are a weather watcher, you may see 3-4 seasons in one day depending on the time of year. It's a great place to snuggle in, read a book, write a book, watch a downloaded movie or just sleep, but disconnect from the chaos and the alerts.

Linda's cabin was exactly what we were looking for - a place to get off our phones, relax and have fun with our pup. I spent most of the daylight hours outside wrapped in a blanket on the Adirondack chairs with my furry buddy at my feet.
The cabin is well equipped with a a heater, microwave, mini fridge and electric kettle. There is also a propane BBQ just outside the cabin which we didn't use this trip, but will keep in mind for future visits.
Our pup, Petra, had so much fun and I felt very comfortable having her off leash while exploring the property. She loved the treats Linda left for her each day!
We were very comfortable; it was the perfect getaway.

Really beautiful spot! The cabin is the perfect size and well built. Huge windows overlook the view. You can’t see any neighbors which was perfect for us. Propane firepit was fantastic and Chas was a wonderful host! Very comfortable place - we hope to go back!

Loved this cabin and this experience. It was my first time using Hipcamp so I was slightly concerned. Turns out this concern was for nothing! Chas was great, very helpful, availar and so nice. 10/10 highly recommend. Will definitely be back!!

The cabin was a perfect mountain get away! Linda was extremely helpful, offering detailed directions, fresh cookies and fresh coffee in the morning. The property and view was breathtaking, pictures just don’t do it justice. The drive out is gorgeous and you get right into the mountains and backcountry. Amazing getaway for some peace and star gazing!

We had such a great stay at the Blue Moon Cabin! It was very clean and had everything we needed. The view was gorgeous and the cabin was very private. We really enjoyed the outdoor lounge area with the fire table. The outdoor shower was really a fun experience too! Highly recommend!

We loved staying at the Little Cabin With a View. Perfect for two people and the dogs had a ton of room to roam. It is a fabulous spot for dogs off the leash. They'd run around and come back...run around some more and come back. Linda is very welcoming and knows the area. And she dropped coffee off outside the door of the cabin every morning!!

We (2 adults and my dog) stayed in South Crow cabin. This is one of the best places I've ever stayed at. It had everything we needed, was dog friendly, quiet and private unlike a hotel. The only negative was that we didn't have time to stay longer. I highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

We loved staying in South Crow Cabin! It is such a thoughtful design with stunning views. It’s easy to spend hours on the deck admiring the landscape. (We saw several elk and deer come through while we relaxed). The hosts went out of their way to greet us and show us how everything worked. We would gladly stay here again.

Sugarloaf Campground
A great camp ground with two water pumps and bathrooms. Each area has a tent pad, fire pit and picnic table. Great views and very close to trails and tons of lakes. Campground was peaceful and quiet, unsure if one campground can hold more than one tent ours did not. Some places are first come first serve while others are reserved only, we got lucky on a Friday and snagged the last campground it’s really popular here!
No firewood available so remember to bring your own!

Curtis Gulch is a magical place as it's described. The La Bonte stream runs parallel to the campsite and is a short hike.
The only negative thing to camping there is the road leading into the area. It is very rough and narrow in some areas. Drive slow and a 4WD pickup pulling a camper can make it.
Do not expect cell service. All the camp sites are primative meaning no water or electrical hook-ups. There is one (what I would call) updated outhouse.
It's best to go during the week as it starts filling up on Friday.
We drove over to another campsite but the campsites were closer together and maybe only one was big enough to back a small RV into.
Fire rings are available. A pump is available with well water.
The area is clean.

Super windy spot but the rock features are very unique and there were even some climbers. The stars were GORGEOUS at night. My biggest complaint is that it's fairly close to the highway.

Camped there over the weekend, no one around except for 3 other camping groups in the upper loops. There is no potable water there anymore in the upper loops. might be down lower or near the boat ramp. Bring your paddleboards, kayaks and fishing poles as there is tons or shoreline to explore.

Busy in the summer, empty in the fall and spring during the cold months. Great rock climbing, hiking and fishing. Watch out for firearms shooting in the area.

Campbell Creek is a beautiful little campground tucked in among pine trees with rock formations on one side. There is plenty of space between sites and is super quiet. At least during my stay, we hardly saw anyone in the area as you are remote, with Douglas being the closest town. Note that there are warning signs of bears in the area, so you must practice food safety (food kept inside hard-sided trailers, vehicles, or bear resistant containers).

There are some really cool hike-in tent sites amongst the boulders. There is hiking and climbing just a short walk from the campground. The noise from the interstate is the only con to this campground.
