I had a really great time at Sandy beaches I was prepared for camping, pod nine was beautiful. I was ready to care for my trash, I knew I needed to keep my food cold. They figured out how to cool it down, slept well. I was glad to have a beautiful fire on the beach. Super cool. There were a lot of flies. I wasn’t ready for that. I look forward to going again.

Amazing location tucked away. Perfect for van parking for the evening. Nice bathroom with shower, kitchen space, big communal space and a dreamy front porch for reading. Only wish I could have stayed much longer.

The property was more run down on the outside then the photos but we all know we post pictures at our best, lots of over grown prickly bushes which is a Yuba thing but the listing just doesn't reflect that so fyi. It was hot as Hades in that box when I arrived and there is a portable swamp cooler but it mostly just made it humid and smell funny so I turned it back off and just opened windows and the sliding door. I was happy to have a bed and not tent it, that was my goal and this fit that perfectly, but it's still "camping" so be realistic in expectations. Bathroom was a smidge further than I imagined, it's a walk back down the road and up a hill. There were outlets by the bed and bar top but I couldn't get anything to plug in, just would not insert, luckily the ones by the bed had a USB port and the charger I had worked for that. The view in the morning was amazing overlooking the lake and since I was there in August it cools down a lot at night with windows open. Overall it was pleasant. The listing also said wifi available but when I searched for a network none were found, not even password protected ones. Closest gas station is back towards nephi just FYI so no quick stop for snacks, do it on the way or plan for the outting.

Weekend Trip to The Store
We stayed in the Zen dome on the property. It's in a charming garden area. There is also a large common area building with a kitchen, bathroom/shower, and a lounge. This is accessible day or night. The owner showed us around and was very cordial and informative.
We had a great stay. Unfortunately fire season dictates we couldn't have a campfire but no biggie in August. The dome is cool but it's not large. We brought two nice cots and the foot of my bag was sticking out the entrance a bit. There is no physical door, just a privacy curtain, so just keep that in mind.
I'd recommend this little getaway for sure, if you are into petroglyphs and Fremont culture. Check out 9 mile canyon for all of that, and not a long drive the other way is Scofield reservoir which is fun for the summer water stuff. We did both, plus the Helper Arts Festival just so happened to be going that weekend and it was excellent. I highly recommend!

4 nights at The Store
The zome is situated in the upper corner of the most magical desert garden. There are many places to sit in the garden, and each offers a gorgeous view of the garden and the cliffs in the background. The garden belongs to a historic building that's in the process of a restoration. The front porch of The Store offers a spectacular view of a huge valley. I loved spending time on the porch in the morning.
The nearby town of Helper has a historic Main Street with a nice coffee shop, art galleries restaurants, and a museum. We also went to a fun dinosaur museum in Price, UT.
But our main goal for the trip was to explore 9 Mile Canyon. The canyon is full of ancient treasures. So many petroglyphs, and a hike to a Fremont village. We had just enjoyed the work of modern artists in Helper, and our last day of the trip was panel after panel of ancient artwork.
Side note: I would only recommend the zome to someone with good mobility, who can confidently walk across uneven, sandy paths. If you are unsure, there's also an Air BNB located inside The Store that might be a better option.

I had the most relaxing stay at Sandy Beach. This was such a hidden gem!! I was traveling on my own as a 28 year old girl and felt very safe. I met so many kind people, and Parker was an amazing host. I ended up extending my stay and hope to be back as soon as possible!

Great place! I stayed in pod 9 which felt more secluded than some of the other pods. The beach was clean and quiet. Only thing to be aware of is that it does get quite stuffy/hot in the pods. It was bearable with the fan on but at times it felt cooler outside than inside. This is to be expected though as it’s Utah in the Summer!

Beautiful spot to quiet the mind and refresh the soul. Potable water within a 5-min driving distance, electricity by solar power, and flushable toilet plus shower from tank water. The whole site is off grid and eco-friendly and right on a private beach. Can’t get any better!

This place was perfect. We were able to feel far away from everything, but close to everything at the same time. Michelle was very helpful and responsive. She set up our camp to be just right for us. I highly recommend it. My wife isn't a camper, but we had a queen bed in in the bell tent and restaurants nearby, so we didn't have to cook.

This is a short drive from Monticello, but the elevation gain means that it's cooler. It is right off of a road that gets some use, so you do hear the occasional car pass, but it is otherwise very quiet. We really enjoyed being in a forest after all of the lovely desert scenery. We were the only tent campers, and there were two RVs. I think there were 15 sites. We didn't have the chance to explore the area, but we'd love to come back.

A lot to do. It has a beach, a natural water slide, and a big rock to jump off of. You can also tune down the river below the dam. Electric and non electric. Bathrooms and showers. Some sites have atv access to the trails.

Devil's Canyon Campground was truly an oasis for my family and I. We stayed one night (which we did not plan ahead of time) and were pleased to find potable water, clean facilities, and a fire pit!
Perhaps the saving grace of our trip was the Most Welcoming Campground Manager (can't recall his name)--Upon arrival he gave us a rundown of all the open sites that were best suited for us as tenters, with pros and cons to all. He later came by to see how we had settled in and helped us plan the remainder of our trip (he was SO informative). He even gave us a couple maps!
The toilets were very clean and had many air fresheners which I appreciated.
Campground was Super Quiet (especially at night)!

Spent 8 nights in Nizhoni during June 2017. Gets a big A++. Allowed me to explore Cedar Mesa...only 50 miles away. At night it was in the 40s....made for great sleep as opposed to camping on the Mesa which was lows in the 60s...John and Leeanne the hosts are wonderful. Only 3-4 sites taken daily while I was there. Made for a quiet and peaceful stay. Campground is covered with pines making for good shade. A diamond in the rough....
