We had a wonderful time at River Sand’s! The 2 bedroom + loft was perfect for our family of 4. It felt like our cosy home was plopped down in the middle of a desert oasis! Surrounded by nature, RVs, campers, and sky! The clubhouse and pool were our favorite part, and make it feel like a resort hotel. We would definitely rent a cabin again, but plan to come back to camp as well. The laundry and shower facilities were a plus! The staff is so friendly and covered every detail! Highly recommended!

Weekend Trip to Bombay Beach
There are so many reasons why The Nest is a great place to stay!
The decor is awesome so it’s just a nice space to relax and enjoy.
The location is amazing - right next to the beach and The Institute (museum and events).
Because of the large egg on the roof (that is lighted at night) this place is always easy to find.
Tao is a great host and I would stay on any of his properties!

This place is pure magic! The lotus tent felt more like a boutique hotel than a campsite… cozy bed, incredible desert views, and nights under the stars with a telescope. Sunrise, sunset, and the endless sky were unforgettable.
The amenities were so thoughtful: outdoor shower, cowboy pool, hammocks, pizza oven (my pizza wasn’t pretty but it was delicious!). Every detail felt intentional and added to the experience.
The property backs onto open BLM land, so you can wander endlessly through the desert, discovering little art installations along the way. It felt limitless, wild, and beautiful.
Days were the perfect mix of exploring Joshua Tree and lounging at the property. Evenings by the fire pit under the desert sky were the highlight.
You can tell the hosts poured love into this place…. it’s private, peaceful, well-kept, and welcoming. Truly the best desert retreat if you’re looking for something bougie yet soul-soothing. I can’t wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to 5+ Acres near Joshua Tree NP
The Lotus Tent was such an amazing experience! The host really thought of every little detail. We got there late at night after a long drive and were welcomed by a well lit path to the tent. The bed was super comfy and the fridge was packed with cold waters, drinks, coffee creamers, and all kinds of other thoughtful little amenities. I absolutely loved the little fire pit and outdoor couch set up. My boyfriend and I loved hanging out by the fire and stargazing at night. My boyfriend is a wildlife biologist and was in love with the kangaroo rats that we saw around the site. It’s really close to Joshua tree national park! We went to the farmers market in Joshua tree and spent the day hiking at the park. It was such a fun and memorable experience. I highly recommend this glamping site!!

Martha's magical tent in the desert puts the "glam" in glamping. She has outfitted it with luxuries worthy of a 5-star hotel, including fluffy towels, bathrobes, and high-quality toiletries. After staying here, I've decided I will never again sleep in any tent that doens't have its own fridge and Nespresso machine (!). The site provides unobstructed views of sunrise and sunset, and a wonderful outdoor grilling / dining area with couches and blankets for nighttime star gazing. The tent also includes games, a telescope, a heater, and other little surprises to make your stay delightful.

If I could’ve stayed more days I would’ve! This spot literally had everything we needed, it even forced us to try new things like making coffee 3 different ways. The stars were beyond mesmerizing. Thought I was going to freeze to death but even that surprised me, portable heater kept us nice and cozy. Quality cookware, beautiful place to get lost and reground, 10 out of 10 recommend, they really thought of EVERYTHING to keep you busy SOOO FUN

The site is in the middle of nowhere, quiet, with the mountains surrounding. It is a perfect setting for reconnecting with a partner, and for disconnecting from the day-to-day.
