A fantastic place to camp. The facilities were great the welcome was lovely and the views amazing. Will definitely be back for a longer stay. Linda and hubby were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The facilities were clean and modern. The directions were clear and easy to follow. We enjoyed the fire pit and listening to the owls late into the evening. Will recommend to anyone looking to visit the area, and the eggs were delicious too.

Myself and my friend stayed at Knotted roots and it was an amazing stay. Just what I was looking for when I was searching for wild camping camp sites. The orchard has pares and apples that you can pick and eat which were actually quite nice, and the hosts where lovely too. Definitely going back there again some time soon.
Also a disclaimer, it is advertised as wild camping so not all the ground is going to be level and flat.

We have just come back from a campervan 2 night trip to Panpwnton Campsite. We had a lovely time, it was very quiet as we were the only ones staying…. Probably due to the weather!
This meant we got a great spot right next to the river which was perfect.
The facilities were good. The location was great. We did a walk straight from the site on to part of Offa Dykes path and along to the Knuclas viaduct, great views along the way. We had thought we might get the train back just for fun, but they don’t run very often (would have been a 2hr wait) so walked back instead.
Site also easy walking distance to the local pub for an evening meal which was good too.
Very Dark walk back that evening meant for some great star gazing:-)

Brilliant campsite. I was camping there alone but felt very comfortable. Lovely field to camp in, beautiful views around the farm in the morning, great building to chill out in, useful facilities to store and heat food. Also loved the honesty shop with delicious pastries. Ian was very helpful with recommending local walks, and checked in throughout stay. Would love to visit again next year!

Panpwnton Farm is a lovely campsite. Very clean toilets and wash up facilities. I didn't use the showers as I only stayed a couple of nights, however they were spacious.
I will definitely be returning for a longer stay.
It's a lovely walk from the campsite to Knighton, alongside the river.
Trains do pass right along the side of the site but it didn't bother me or my dog. Easy access to Offa's Dyke.

Brilliant kept site, lovely surroundings and owners couldn’t do enough for you.
Shower and toilet block was immaculately kept, lovely hot water shower.
Defo book the flyer fire pits and magic fire dust my grandson loved it!

The site is really lovely close enough to town to walk in and great location by the stream with walking paths for our dog. The toilets and showers were clean and maintained and Roxanne was very friendly.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Everything was set up and ready for us when we arrived, which made settling in so easy. The hammocks were such a relaxing touch, and having water and a fire kit provided really showed the thoughtfulness that went into the experience. The host was lovely—friendly but gave us complete space—so it truly felt like being out in the woods, surrounded only by the sounds of nature. It was peaceful, refreshing, and exactly what we were hoping for. We can’t wait to come back!

Definitely as described, and would have been absolutely gorgeous if the weather was amazing: beautiful view, fire pit and barbecue, just imagine! The weather was a bit wet and windy for us, but we still had a lovely two night stay and basically had the place to ourselves. Toilets and showers great, the little pub so nice and the farm shop an added extra. We really valued the commitment to recycling and zero waste and everyone we spoke to was super friendly. We will definitely be back!

Great space by the river. Good showers and toilet block. The use of a fridge and freezer were a real bonus. As was the cafe.
