Wake up to the sound of Lake Owyhee’s lapping waves when you pitch a tent at McCormack Campground. Here you’ll find campsites with electricity and water hookups, and eight more primitive sites with water access nearby. All sites have picnic tables, paved parking, and fire rings. Or try slumbering in one of the two campground teepees; they’re available starting May 1.

If you get a lake-side spot like we did, the view is breathtaking. Otherwise, the view is only amazing :) There were lots of fishers and RVs here, and keep in mind that you cannot reserve the tent-only sites, only the RV sites. There was a very nice couple in charge of the campground, if you arrive and have any questions about what to do or just want ice ask them! So glad to have them there. The campground is a decent hour-ish drive from the nearest freeway, but you are rewarded with a secluded campground on a giant lake.
