Great experience for my first time!
I stayed at campsite 2, and it was wonderful! Had the whole place to myself the first night. The bathrooms and campsites themselves were super clean, the host was kind and met me when I arrived and answered questions I had and gave me a little info on the property and we’re to find everything!
This place is a gem. Absolutely beautiful, peaceful, clean. The sites are right in front of the river for easy access and a serene view. I loved listening to the owls at night and spotting so many colorful varieties of mushrooms. The icing on the cake is that Lisa could not be a warmer and more welcoming host! I look forward to returning with kayaks nex time! :)
We had a great time with the grandkids it's an awesome place to relax and do some fishing. Our host Lisa was really nice and a pleasure to meet.porta potty where very clean even had wet wipes great touch. Will visit again.
This place is gorgeous, I went for the night to see how the fishing was (it was great as well) and ended up falling in love with the place. From now on, I won’t go camping anywhere else. Thank you Lisa!
Night skies and morning owls!!!
This is our new favorite campground! A great find and just 1 hour from Wilmington to this remote spot. This area of the Black River is simply beautiful and a great place for kayaking. Stay quiet in the early hours of the morning and you may spot a barred owl. The night sky in this location is breathtaking! The campground itself and porto potty’s are very well maintained and clean. The host is very kind and easy to communicate with. My only regret was not being able to stay longer. But we shall return!
This place is wonderful! Lisa is attentive and kind and my family really enjoyed their visit. We stayed at site 11 and it had close access to the boat launch and bathroom. It was super clean and felt very safe. Slept to the sound of owls and crickets and found river otter tracks, kayaked along the black river…cypress trees were amazing. Will 100% stay again!
Will visit again 10 out 10
Could not be happier with the camp sites or the property management and hospitality. 10 out of 10, small corner store, less than a mile away for ice and necessities, Dollar store 7 miles away, in Atkinson.
