Our 10-acre land offers riverside camping, glamping, fire circles, stargazing, and a chance to slow down beneath the trees. Whether you come to rest, reconnect, explore nature, or simply breathe deeply for a few days, this land invites you to unwind and reset. River Camping Near Bethel Woods
We loved tent camping on Chantel and Jessie’s land. Our group (5 and 1 dog) camped down at the river, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Chantel and her family were communicative and helpful, and we ran into them around the property a few times and engaged in beautiful conversations. Although other people were camping, it felt so private and the land was peaceful. We had our own private bathroom, access to the shared kitchen space (pots, pans, and gas burners which were a lovely back-up when our fire wouldn’t start the first morning.) Fair warning, if you camp at the river, it is a HIKE from your car to the camp site, and there is difficult, changing terrain with a steep decline. We initially intended to carry our things to the site, but were really surprised by the distance and brought a lot of stuff. Thankfully, Chantel was able to schedule us an ATV for the transport out, which really saved us. Thank you Chantel + family for a beautiful weekend and for sharing your space with us. This place is as magical as it looks and I will be back. :)

So many wonderful things to say about the magical universe that Jesse and Chantel have created at Taino Woods. It felt like an adult’s playground, where you could seek the adventure you want. Our group particularly enjoyed making the most of the river our site was on, taking refreshing dips and letting the sounds of the water work its healing magic on us. I would also say taking the time to meet Jesse and Chantel to learn about their work here is a must! It was so inspiring to hear their personal stories and their efforts in establishing this very special community. My one practical piece of advice for future campers: (particularly of our site as it was furthest from the parking lot) is to definitely make use of the ATV services unless you’re packing light/primitive. For our group of 4 with coolers, a good amount of food and a hefty bit of camping equipment, it would’ve been exceptionally difficult to make it by foot (and realistically would take multiple trips). So be sure to book the ATV in advance and give yourself the extra time to load and unload your gear upon check in and check out. Thank you Chantel and Jesse!! We’ll be back! Sincerely, Anna & friends

Such an amazing campsite at TainoWood! We met the host at the parking lot, and we loaded all our stuff onto an ATV, which made things so much easier for us. The riverside campsite was clean, beautiful, and so peaceful with the relaxing sounds of the river. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Even we heard the host singing every morning and evening! We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Chantel and Jesse were great hosts. The campsite was exactly as described. Our tent was spacious and clean. We were 3 adults, 1 kid and our pup. We loved sitting outside and exploring the river and grounds. The kitchen was well stocked and the firewood was dry and plenty. Will definitely recommend for families and first timers who have never done camping before.

This is a gorgeous campsite! Strong recommend the atv haul for your gear to the riverside sites. It makes it way easier. It’s relaxing, but still social because you see people coming down to the river. However, everyone has been respectful of space. Chantel and Jesse sing in the morning and evenings, which is lovely. If you like to be a little social and still do your own thing most of the time, it’s perfect!

I found this campsite by accident in 2022 when looking for a last minute place for an unplanned trip. It is a 3 hour drive for us from home but we found this place to be very special and always want to come back. It is a lot of work camping in nature but I always feel very relaxed and rested after spending time here and sleeping here. It’s quiet, there are unique and beautiful sounding birds that sing all day. There is a lot to explore, do and look at. The river is always enjoyable to lay in and explore. The outdoor kitchen is my favorite. The owners go out of their way to make you feel at home. I love that they sing and play drums in the morning and night. You can tell that there is a lot of love put into this place and it always feels healing to be here.

Beautiful land in a relatively secluded part of the woods. We were near the highway but didn't hear a peep. The directions were clear and it felt like a cool communal campground at times. But we loved our little tent set up (we were in the Ocama site - a roomy tent set up and a sleep pad as well as a fire pit with a grill and cover). Chantel was very accommodating and welcoming.

It’s a gorgeous site by the river. Strong recommend on the ATV assistance down there, or, pack light! It’s steep but manageable for hauling some wood but would be tough with coolers and bags. Not buggy and very quiet!

A beautiful weekend camping down by the river. Chantel and her community were friendly and welcoming. We were sung to upon arrival and each morning; what a treat! The campsite was maybe a quarter to half mile walk from the parking area so come prepared to carry things (we have a wheeled cooler so took our things down ourselves) or get the ATV assistance they offer. The river was shallow but great for soaking feet and quick dips. Would definitely recommend and return!

It all went well I pulled up and the land was lush even in the rain the place looked magical & emaculate. I parked in my spot then my party & I headed straight for the tent of our dreams. We spent time on the water, built a fire, and enjoyed our Memorial weekend stay in the bliss of Hipcamp.
