Description

Littered with just as much leaf litter as historical landmarks, Bass River State Forest was the first patch of forest acquired by the colonial state in the early-1900’s. Situated atop of the northern stretch of Lake Absegami, the cardinal coordinate-named campground is strung together by numerous primitive campsites. Although minimalistic in their settings, North Shore Campground is inundated with drinking water and working showers.

North Shore is perfect. You get A LOT of space to yourself or you and your group, access to the waterfront and a dry cabin for when roughing-it just doesn't sound all that great.
